Microdermabrasion is a powerful, refreshing treatment to revitalise tired, dull or scarred black skin. Black skin scars more easily and dramatically than lighter skin tones and it’s sometimes extremely visible if the person does not wear makeup. Black skin scars more easily due to the pigmentation in our skin called melanin.  Since black skin scars easily, overgrowths of scar tissue from wounding or injury can also lead to acne or eczema. Each treatment takes about 30 minutes to an hour and five to twelve treatments at two- to three-week intervals are recommended for optimal results.During the procedure tiny particles "sand" or "polish" the skin and gradually remove scarred or discoloured epidermal tissue.  When the procedure is finished, a cotton ball with soothing lotion is applied onto the skin, followed by a hydrating cream.  Many people are using body microdermabrasion because it is a non-invasive procedure, and is a very effective alternative to more complex surgery or expensive solutions.  Unlike traditional dermabrasion or chemical pealing, microdermabrasion is done progressively instead of aggressively.
