Black Belt Recruiting: Mike Dillard & Mark Wieser's Latest Training Product
64Mike Dillard, famous for Traffic Formula & Magnetic Sponsoring, has teamed up with Mark Wieser to tackle your phone phobia and show you how to become the leader
As an entrepreneur you need to constantly be improving your business knowledge and skills. This is even more important for those involved with a network marketing business. This industry can be ruthless and if you have any weakness it will be exposed.
What Are Your Fears?
Prospecting and recruiting become emotional events filled with many fears. Fear of rejection by the prospect, fear of failure even fear of success can paralyze many marketers causing them to go nowhere with their business.
In this industry it is important to learn what are your strong points and what are your weaknesses. Once you know what these are then you can capitalize on your strengths and improve your weak areas.
Is Fear Of The Phone Keeping You Down?
For many people fear of the phone is what keeps them from becoming successful. They have built up a leads list and now it is time to start calling those prospects. They freeze up and think of a million things to do to get ready to make those calls. Straightening out the desk, getting pen & paper in place, even running to the office supply store for one last item that you think you must have are all ways of delaying the very thing you dread the most . . . . . picking up the phone and calling those prospects.
You Are Not Alone.
If this sounds like you don’t worry, you are not alone. In fact there are so many of us out there that share this fear that Mike Dillard teamed up with his mentor, Mark Wieser, and produced Black Belt Recruiting.
Mike Dillard, a Network Marketing Failure?
It's true, Mike Dillard failed in his first attempts at Network Marketing. But he never gave up the dream. It is refreshing to know that Mike Dillard was once one of those people that had a huge fear of picking up the phone and calling prospects. He overcame his phone phobia to become a huge success in Network Marketing and you can too!
What is Black Belt Recruiting?
Black Belt Recruiting is a 42 page book plus a 6 CD set that will change your mindset from one of desperate salesperson to one of a welcomed guest that has been invited into your prospects life.
Attraction Marketing: Get Invited Into Their World
The first step is to use Attraction Marketing to “get invited” into your prospects world. Once that person has filled out your lead capture page they have in a sense “invited” you into their world. They have given you permission to contact THEM.
You're On The Phone . . . . . Now What?
But now lies the problem. What do you say to these people once you have them on the phone? Are you selling to them or offering them a valuable opportunity? How do you determine who is a serious prospect and who is just wasting your time? More importantly how do you tell if someone, no matter how enthusiastic they may seem, is the right person to join your team?
Higher Value vs. Lower Value
Dillard & Wieser discuss the concept of “Demonstrations Of Higher Value” (DOHV) as opposed to “Demonstrations Of Lower Value” (DOLV) which is where most newbies are coming from. Recruiting is about leadership and you must demonstrate “Higher Value” and leadership equal to or higher than your prospects or they will not join you.
With Black Belt Recruiting you will learn how to be that leader through verbal and non-verbal cues. Even your appearance and how you dress can speak loudly about what kind of a leader you are.
What Is In The Book?
The book takes you through the steps of interviewing a prospect from the first contact to the follow up. How to handle objections and how to answer many of the typical questions you will likely get when talking with your prospects is covered here too.
The book also briefly touches on the subjects of using a Virtual Assistant and active & passive follow-up campaigns. They even cover email campaigns with a sample email designed to offer value and position you as a leader.
Leveraging With Affiliate Marketing
A hard fact of Network Marketing is that roughly 95% of your leads will never join your business or buy your products. With this in mind making more money from your leads through affiliate marketing of products and services is covered at the end of the book.
What Is In The CD Set?
The 6 CD set goes into much more detail on the art & skill of calling prospects. Dillard & Wieser sit down together and share stories, advice and strategies on how to handle every aspect of calling & interviewing your leads.
They discuss the importance of being in charge of the conversation and of being the leader. Remember, you are doing the prospect a favor by spending time and allowing them to take advantage of the opportunity you are offering.
The Wieser Method To Handling Tough Question
Ways to handle tough questions and some of the more typical questions are demonstrated also. One of the more important ideas is when to “disqualify” someone from your opportunity.
You’ll also learn how to handle abrasive individuals and when and how to just end the call altogether when you can see it is a no-win situation.
No More Phone Phobia
By the end of the 6th CD you will have a whole new outlook on calling prospects. The fear of rejection will be gone. You will have the skills and confidence to pick up that phone and start talking. You will be in charge of the conversation and you will be the one to decide if that prospect is right for your business. You will no longer be the servant but the leader looking for qualified people to join your opportunity.
Powerful Advice From Dillard & Wieser
I have listened to and read advice from others on how to talk to prospects but have never found them to be really helpful except for a few little snippets of advice that stuck with me. With Black Belt Recruiting every word is powerful advice that changed my whole way of thinking. I finally mastered my fear of those dreaded phone conversations. I now lead the conversation. I qualify the prospect. I no longer have the mindset of someone who is desperately trying to sponsor someone . . . anyone into my business. I now have an “abundance mentality”. I know that there is more of everything than I will ever need and this includes prospects. This has allowed me to get rid of many of my fears of loosing a prospect because I know that there is an endless number available to me.

Irene,
Thanks for your comments! Phone phobia has been one of my biggest obstacles not only in business but in life in general. BBR has completely changed that for me.
Sandy
Sandy, super job!
Your hub is an articulate and complete synopsis of BBR. Your including your own past problems with picking up that phone added icing on the cake. I found your hub to be interesting as well as informative...

Hi Sandi, I'm thinking that I should open up the BBR again and listen to the CDs. To find a way to get rid of a few networking phobias is valuable to your business. Education gives us confidence and that confidence takes the spotlight off of ourselves and onto the prospect where it belongs in the first place. Good job.
Hi Judy,
I have started listen to the CDs a second time now and hearing things I don't remember from the first time around. Some things I didn't quite understand the 1st time and now I get it. I love the GAP method
Powerful advice from Dillard and Wieser indeed. I don't know if everyone caught your last comments about an 'abundance mentality'. It is HUGE! It changes everything for you.
And you are so right when you said," I now lead the conversation. I qualify the prospect. I no longer have the mindset of someone who is desperately trying to sponsor someone . . . anyone into my business." This is very 'attractive' to prospects.

Sandy: Thanks for another great Hub! Eventually you have to call your prospects and BBR is the perfect guide. David
Sandy, Great hub. We still have to talk to people and leaders must speak with confidence if they are to be perceived as a leader worth following. I'm certain you are that kind of a leader. Keep up the good work. ~ eddie
Thanks to all for the positive comments and the encouragement!

Great article Sandy! I better dust off my copy of Black Belt Recruiting! LOL So much information is the challenge; what do you read next?
Ah the dreaded 100lb phone! This is the area where most people come to a grinding halt. You not only have to overcome it for yourself you have to help your downline to overcome it as well! Listening to role playing audios and doing your own role playing helps tremendously.
BTW I have a solution for what to do next. Email me at irene.paradigmshift@gmail.com
