69Bluehost Review
My beginner review of bluehost.com, Bluehost.com in my opinion is a great affordable web hosting service especially if your a beginner and have no clue on where to start if you re looking to start a website. I was looking to start a website but had no idea where to start. Searching on how to start a website will result in a number of different pages describing how to registrar domains how to park a domain web hosting. I just didn't understand much of it and didn't really have much interest in reading into something I'm just starting.
I was going to use Go-daddy because it is very popular and wide spread. I did some research and read on forums all over the Internet to decide where I should start building a website. I did not want to pay an insane amount of money and have unreliable customer support because I am new to building websites. I almost went with go-daddy only because I was unsure about other web hosting services. I read about how Go-daddy had extremely poor customer support and unreliable servers. I decided to opt out and do more research before I got into anything. Here is a list of some services bluehost.com offers.
- Php Hosting: This is what you're looking for if you are wanting to start a forum on your website. It is very simple to setup, easy to manage and very customizable to your website look and color scheme. It took me 10 minutes to setup my own forum and customize it. And I had no prior knowledge of how to do this. Bluehost made this very simple.
- Great Customer Support: Customer support for bluehost is EXCELLENT. They respond to email questions about anything you may need help with very quickly. You will get a response from a real person not a computer within an hour or two The longest I waited for a response was 3 hours. This left me time to work on other areas of my site and their response are very well described in detail for anyone to understand. And there call center support is even better. You will more often than not be connected to a live person within a few minutes who will be more then willing to walk you thru step by step with anything you need help with, they have a toll free help support line so it will not cost you anything to call. This is something Go-Daddy does not have.
- Includes OsCommerce Shopping cart: If you plan on selling merchandise from your website then you will need a shopping cart option from your host. Blue host offers this and makes it extremely easy to implement a shopping cart for your customers to order your products.
- Fantastico Delux: Bluehost offers Fantastico Delux, this is a very help full tool. It will allow you to install these things called scripts. If you don't know what a script is then, think of it like this. Your website is an iphone and fantastico Delux are your applications for your iphone. With fantastico Delux you are able to install a number of tools within minutes effortlessly without having to know any type of html or coding that goes with it. For example it will allow you to install Joomla, which is a powerful browser based website editor which any creator of a website of any knowledge level can use. It will also help you in installing, wordpress, different shopping carts, more forums, polls and surveys, image galleries, live customer support and more easily to your website.
- Cost: Blue host is very low on cost. For a one year package you receive unlimited pages for your website, something Go-Daddy doesn't offer. A free registered domain name. Unlimited Sub-Domains, which will allow you to host your friends and family from your website under your domain name. Email accounts and more all for under 100$ a year. And you can move your domain name to a different service at anytime if you wish.
- Unlimited Transer Size, Unlimted Space: Great if you plan on uploading videos, pictures or any other high sized files to your website.

Blue host is a very reliable, affordable and great place to start building your own website regardless of skill level. I am a beginner of website building and blue host makes it simple to learn and progress.
To be honest the hardest part about signing up with bluehost was choosing what I wanted to name my website. I decided to go with www.preemz.com, I mainly wanted to start a website and run a forum. From the time I choose my website name to the time I finished sighing up with bluehost took around 5 minutes. I was amazed how simple it was. They have a WYSISWYG (what you see is what you get) editor, which can be easily upgraded to the more power full joomla for free and easily. This is was I was looking for, I don't know much if any html or any other website coding. Think of their WYSISWYG editor as a copy and paste point and click option to build your website. I messed around with it a little bit to get the feel of how it works, and had a website up in under a half hour from start of sign up to finish.
Now, don't get confused no website will build itself from your thoughts alone. I had my forum set up in around 10 minutes, bluehost made this easier then I thought. If you re going to start a website there are a few things you should have around. Some type of photo editing program. I use adobe photoshop elements 7 which I purchased form amazon with Adobe photoshop premier 7 a video editing program for under a hundred dollars. And I heard about other website programs but I don't have or have used any of them. Building a website takes effort and many people want to do build a website for a hobby purpose or business purpose and Bluehost by far has not disappointed me. All I can is I'm glad I choose bluehost over my first choice go daddy. There are also allot of YouTube videos on how to use bluehost and they also have tutorials on their website with a great active help forum. Not so much with their competitors. I am truly a beginner to website building and bluehost has not discouraged me in anyway of wanting to give up. I'm only getting started and I know I chose the right service. This is my honest review from a beginner point of view and I hope it helps. If not just leave a comment or ask a question. I can honestly recommend bluehost to any beginner looking to start building a website, great customer support great forums plenty of help videos, and very affordable and reliable so follow this link to get started with BLUEHOST.COMI'm not disappointed and I don't think you will be either.
