Bob Saget is an infamously foul-mouthed comedian who is hilariously also best-known for his role as the clean-cut Danny Tanner on Full House as well as the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos.

This is part of my series of articles on what became of the cast of Full House. Please feel free to also check out my articles on Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone), John Stamos (Uncle Jesse), Candace Cameron (DJ Tanner), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner), and Lori Loughlin (Aunt Becky).

Myself, like many others, grew up watching Bob Saget as the wholesome, Ward Cleaver-esque Danny Tanner on the family sitcom Full House. Danny Tanner was a great guy and a wonderful father, if not a bit nerdy and lame at times. Naturally, it was a shock to me to discover that Saget is actually quite vulgar in real life.

Since Full House, Saget has – on numerous occasions – poked fun at the show and his character, even performing a parody of the Backstreet Boys song “I Want It That Way” entitled “Bob Saget Is Not Gay.”

Saget’s first notable role after Full House’s cancellation was a cameo in the stoner comedy Half Baked, in which he plays a Narcotics Anonymous member.

He has since guest starred on several TV shows, such as The Norm Show, Huff, Listen Up, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He also played a minor role in the 2003 prequel to Dumb and Dumber. Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd.

He wrote and directed the 2007 spoof Farce of the Penguins, which was a parody of the hit documentary March of the Penguins.

He can currently be seen in the television sitcom How I Met Your Mother, where he plays Ted Mosby, as well as narrates.

Check out the music video for Jamie Kennedy’s Rollin’ With Saget, which features Bob Saget.
