A body detox diet or cleanse is becoming more widely

practiced, especially by people who reach the limits of what

the medical profession can do for them.

Having learned about the self-healing power of the body,

getting out of the way and allowing it to cleanse becomes a

priority.

Is there a recommended time frame to do a body detox diet?

The minimum time should be 3 weeks, here's why. Your body

goes through a complete cleansing cycle during this time.

Another reason is that it takes 3 weeks to develop a new

habit. Take at least some of the good you've been doing and

make it part of your lifestyle.

Use these 5 crucial steps to create the health you want:

1 -- Solve the dehydration issue. Most people are

dehydrated most of the time. And yet, there is a simple

solution. Drink half your weight in fluid ounces each day.

Use filtered water for best results. We're talking water

here, not sodas or sugary drinks.

2 -- Your body ph is on the alkaline side and your body

detox diet is not complete without adding a lot of organic

green vegetables. In contrast to the acid forming processed

foods, you will find vegetables are almost always alkaline.

3 -- The body reacts to cooked food the same way it does to

a virus, by raising the number of white blood cells. Raw

foods or vegetables in their natural state is the way to go

so you can help with the body detox diet.

4 -- One way to accelerate the cleanse is through juice

fasting. Again, green vegetables are best and avoid sugary

juices. Drinking only juices once a week is much easier on

the body than a long fast.

5 -- It is essential to move your body. You can do this by

taking a walk or by doing resistance training. It's not just

a detox diet. Now, you will push out the toxins when you

perspire and exercise.

When you are cleansing, your body will be eliminating

toxins that have been stored, sometimes for years. Think of

all the ways you eliminate.

A runny nose, skin rashes and runny stools are all ways the

culture that we define it as being sick and try so hard to
