The BodyBugg v3

The BodyBugg Calorie Counter recently featured on "The Biggest Loser" reality TV show in America, and is the hottest thing to happen to the fitness world since the skipping rope.

Previously, calorie counting has been based on a lot of guesswork, and estimations. We never really knew how many calories we might have burnt. But now there is a way that every walk up the stairs, or every run to he bus stop is recorded. This is where the BodyBugg comes in...

So what can the BodyBugg do?

Essentially there are two components to it - the BodyBugg armband itself, and the software that accompanies it.  The  armband is a calorie counter and is worn much like a watch, receiving information from your body as you work your way through your chosen exercise.

Since it's first introduction in 2005, the Body Bug calorie counter has undergone something of a transformation.  It's original design was rather cumbersome on the wrist.  Now the BodyBugg v3 is much smaller, and more comfortable to wear.

When you have collected enough information on your Body Bugg, you can use your BodyBugg login details to upload your statistics for the day.  The BodyBugg software will provide you with graphs, calorie levels that you have burnt, and provide you with suggestions to reach your target.

While it's not something you want to become obsessive about, the BodyBug can really help keep you on the straight and narrow, as you work towards your target weight or physique.  It can be a harmless bit of fun, or a really excellent tool for improving your lifestyle and fitness levels.  Knowing exactly how many calories you have burnt each day is a real god-send.

If the BodyBugg isn't for you, whether it's not in your price range, or doesn't have the features you require, there are plenty of alternatives on the market.  For instance, the GoWear Lifestyle and Calorie Management System is an ample subsitute at a great price tag:
