Bodybuilding Workouts

There are a few important steps that you should be aware of to have a successful bodybuilding workout. Bodybuilding is not overly difficult but if you don't remember these important steps and abide by them then you will probably not get the results that you want. Besides working your body a lot of bodybuilding is also mental.

You need to set realistic short and long term goals. To keep you motivated you need to feel like you have accomplished something at every single workout and setting realistic goals will make you feel victorious. Don't overload yourself as you will only feel burned out both physically and mentally. Many individuals stop soon after starting because they have not set realistic goals and are discourages. Bodybuilding will take some time.

Make a Bodybuilding Workout Plan

Make sure you have a good workout plan that works all parts of your body. Much of this is how you plan your day and how much time you can devote to your bodybuilding workout. Determine how many hours per day and which days you will be able to body build. You should chose two to three different exercises per body part and do a few sets of 8 to 12 repetitions each. Make sure you have a days rest between working your muscle groups.

You need to stick to your plan and workout between 4 to 5 times a weeks. Your bodybuilding workout should soon become part of your routine and once it does you will notice the signs of your body changing for the better. A lot of this is a mental fight to be committed as you even though you may be a little tired one day you still need to workout. All bodybuilders have two things in common, persistence and determination.

Keep enthusiastic!

What will make your bodybuilding workouts a success is your enthusiasm for what you are doing. If you look at your workout as a chore then you will not be performing the workout correctly and you will not receive the maximum benefits. You should try to have enthusiasm, energy and a good positive attitude before each workout. Or if you are like me take the stress out of your day through your workout. Workouts are excellent stress relievers.

You need to set the correct pace for yourself. Make sure your workouts are efficient with no room for you to become bored. Keep the flow of your exercises consistent and only stop when changing your weights. If you are hurried then you may hurt yourself or become anxious. It is important to find a pace that is perfect for your workout where you will not become stressed but enjoy what you are doing and get great results.

Keep Your Bodybuilding Workout Simple

You also do not need to know any fancy or intricate exercises. The majority of the most effective exercises are based off of basic movement, though you can add some more advanced or complicated moves to spice things up. To get the most from your exercises you need to do them in repetition and not too fast. The bodybuilders that see the most results are the ones that can do slow repetitions.

Some Bodybuilding Exercises

The following is a list of some of the more popular basic bodybuilding exercises:

flat and incline dumb bell press, bench press, stiff-arm dumbbell pullover, lateral raise, side arm raise, front raise, bent over raise, cable crossover, seated lat rows, pull downs, one and two arm bent over row, standing barbell curl, standing, seated alternate and incline dumbbell curls, pushdown triceps pulley, lying and overhead triceps extensions, chins, squats, dips, leg curl, leg extension, seated and standing calf raise, dead lifts, midsection raise, crunches and leg raises.
