Popular Search Terms
Since all Hubbers are writers we are all interested in popular search terms. What are people most interested in? If we know what is popular these subjects can be broken down into even smaller topics and we have an idea for an article and one of the best ways to keep your finger on the pulse of the public is to research their searching trends. Using this information could boost the viewing of your articles at HubPages and elsewhere.
One way to see what is popular is to go to Google Zeitgeist. The meaning of zeistgeist is “the spirit of the times.” They have four tools to use to see the search trends. The first is Google Trends. When you click it you get ten trends and you can click more trends for further exploration. You can also enter your own search terms and compare them: To do this put a term in and a comma and put another term in. This tool gives a broader idea of is sizzling.
The Trends for Websites tool lets you put in a website addy and check out its visitors according to their region, plus it gives information on similar sites. Knowing what kinds of sites people are frequenting more is an indication of their interests. Insights for Search: is a tool for power users and marketers in its Google definition, but it can be used to get writing ideas. You can generate your own lists of extremely popular queries and the queries that are quickly rising in use by time, topic, and geographic location. This could bring up some interesting topics.
The Hot Trends is the last tool on the page. It tells you which queries are swiftly rising in the United States and there are continuous updates. Current TV at Google may also be of interest. You can get a list of the current or more popular videos at Google. This reveals some of the things people are interested in.
