bottom freezer refrigerator
69i just read a hub by gredmondson and thought why not add my two cents.
some people think that refrigerators with the freezer at the bottom is a new thing, well it is not, manufactors are just trying to breathe new life into an old -good idea that never really make them a lot of money-maybe they will make a lot of money this time i don't know, the buying public these days don't know what they are really getting, the days when you could swear on a brand name for quality is long gone,i would ask a customer how long they have this machine, they would say this machine was here when i buy the house twenty five years ago,it might have been a--general electric, maytag,or westinghouse-back in the old days these brand names rule the appliance industry, but today, they will tell me this machine is only four years old and this is the third time i'm having problems with it,what happen?.
i know what happen, today they don't care about quality they will put their name on anything, the emphasis is on the marketing and advertising
not on the quality of the product.i got carried away sorry for that out burst,
i have this amana bottom freezer working on it's about two years old, it is one of those that you pull out,the freezer door like a drawer, the door is so fragile, the plastic tracks are damage i order those, when i come back to install them i notice some little ball bearings on the ground, that mean the metal tracks are bamage also, this is supposed to be a high end refrigerator,i know it is expensive because it is stainless steel, here is the model number-abc2037des
serial-10133183et
don't waste your money.

- Whirlpool Polara Refrigerated Range
This is a stove that has the capability to also be used as a refrigerator, this stove was introduced about 6 years ago. The idea behind this stove is that it gives the owner the options to take the chicken out of the refrigerator and place it into the oven where it can be kept cool for several hours. With the stove set to the cooling mode cooking can be set to start at a later time. - 4 months ago
- Clothes Dryer
There are two types of clothes dryers one is gas the other is electric. The gas dryer is half gas and half electric, the gas is used for lighting a flame to create the heat to dry the clothes, the electric is used to operate the motor, timer, ignitor, coil kit and thermostats. - 4 months ago
- Whirlpool Washing Machine - Don't Wash or Spin
Washing machines made by Whirlpool, Sears, Kenmore and Kitchen Aid, these newer machines are called direct drive, the older machines used a belt and motor to drive the transmission. These direct drive machines use a coupling to drive the gearcase, this coupling is connected to the motor and the gearcase, the couplings sometimes break. When this happens the machine will take in water and drain as this does not affect the pump, when the coupler breaks, the machine will not wash or spin because the motor is not connected to the gearcase, at the end of the cycle you will find that the clothes are wet but not washed. - 4 months ago

Hi Fyxer,
Thanks for reading my Hub on bottom mount refrigerators. Of course, you are right, the bottom freezer is not a new idea. I have a similar Amana, stainless steel refrigerator with the pull out freezer door. We did have trouble with it once under warranty. It's two years old now. We do have a little but annoying problem: There is a lid like thing the width of the refrigerator over the bottom drawer of the refrigerator, and it just slips off the little protrusions that are supposed to hold it in place. One repairman heated the plastic piece with a hair dryer and bent it in to hold on better, but it still comes off sometimes. Do you have any advice (email me Ironrite@msn.com )? Thanks!
