No two serious bowlers are ever going to be exactly alike: whether it is their choice of bowling shoes, their taste in bowling shirts, or their preference when it comes to their choice of bowling ball, each bowler will have their own bit of personal flare - their own area that they choose to be a bit different in their personal appearance and reflection of their personal style that differentiates them from the pack. It is amusing that in their efforts to be different from the pack, many bowlers will often end up showing the same bits of flare. When I consider some of the more 'flavorful' bowling apparel and bowling items that I have come across recently, It almost seems unfair to use such bland terms as "bowling supplies" and "bowling apparel."

Instead I feel that i should be talking about short-sleeved bowling personality canvasses, or the bowler's spirit in a ball (with finger holes). Really, some of the bowling shirts and bowling balls that i have seen recently are so far removed from the norm, so far removed from being bland, dull or boring that they deserve more recognition and that is what I intend to do here with this Hub. If I am to be completely honest, what I am going to present here is something of a mishmash, i suppose: I have some images included that help to establish a category or two of shirt, for example, but what I was more interested in was presenting the stand outs style and design that really impress me with both bowling balls and shirts. To be honest, at this time I am not really aware of what is a crazy looking bowling shoe vs the norm, but that could change after I do some digging.

It is obvious that there are going to be variations on a theme, so to speak, within each category of bowling shirt but there are those shirts out there that just defy terms like category or style, even. They seem to almost explode as you look at them. Maybe that could be a useful category label: explosive bowling shirts. Whether it is a shirt drowning in images of flames, dragons, hot peppers or rocket ships, they all have that one thing in common: they all attack your eye upon viewing. Okay, so maybe a category of shirt such as 'drowning imagery' or 'aggressive imagery' might be more appropriate? It couldn't hurt.

As for bowling balls, they too seem to be all over the place, ranging from the basic 'black and bland ball' category, to the 'at least it is a solid color other than black' category, all the way to the 'Yoda on a bowling ball?' category.  True individual taste is often given the opportunity to shine through in the bowler's ball, for better or worse.  Maybe that last comment was unfair and uncalled for; if a ball's performance is not encumbered or negatively affected in any way by its uniqueness of design then I guess that is what should really matter.  I guess it is just hard to imagine other bowlers not being distracted by the visual noise of a skull encased in a crystal clear bowling ball rolling down the alley...
