Brain Age Train Your Brain In Minutes A Day

With Brain Age Train Your Brain In Minutes A Day, prepare to put your brain through a gentle but rigorous exercise program.

The aim is to get your brain fit in very short, thoroughly enjoyable sessions, every day.

It's easy and it's fun.

All you need are:
1. Your funky, handheld console =>> Nintendo DS Lite
2. The game =>> Brain Age Train Your Brain In Minutes A Day

Then, let the games begin ...

First you check your brain age.

How?

You play this game in which the names of different colors are quickly flashed on the screen. Sometimes the word is written in the same color it is describing, sometimes not. So the word 'Green' is sometimes colored green, and sometimes it's colored red. Or yellow.

Your task is to call out the color each word is written in. Not to read the actual word out. And to do this quickly!

This game is actually a Stroop Test. And it's been found to be a robust way of testing how well the brain is working.

In Brain Age Train Your Brain In Minutes A Day, you are given a brain age, depending on your speed and accuracy in this game.

Every now and again, you are given this test again. And in this way, your progress is monitored.

Here is the Brain Age Check game in action:

Then The Brain Age Games ...

Have a taste of some of the games you get with Brain Age Train Your Brain In Minutes A Day. You'll get to see how to play Brain Age.

And if you get a moment, do let us know which you've enjoyed most ...

Low To High - An Infuriatingly Addictive Game

A set of boxes laid out in exactly the same way, are displayed on each screen. On one screen, numbers are displayed, one number in each box. Only for a few seconds.

You've got to remember not the specific numbers per se, but the order of the numbers, from low to high, AND their position on the screen. That's the boxes in which they were displayed.

You are started with one number. When you correctly remember the sequence and positions of the numbers, you are then given three numbers, then four, then five, and on and on.

It's brilliant. Basically, it's a high speed, high tech number pairs memory game. A similar concept is used in Cars and Lego Indiana Jones games.

Have a look and follow along here:

Brain Age Calculations

Basically, you're given simple addition, subtraction, and multiplication problems to finish. In 'Hard' mode you also get some division. You get 20 problems in a row, or you get 100.

You want to correctly complete as many as possible, as quickly as possible.

Please don't fret. We're not about cracking complex problems. Here, you're talking about ultra simple maths problems such as: 6-2, 2+8, 7x6.

The important thing is that you think quickly. In fact the research shows that trying to solve complicated problems does not help with this sort of brain development.

Okay. are you thinking 'Come On, This Is A Bit Too Easy!' ?

Well, just have a look at these rather impressive Calculations Challenges. Go on, join in..  How do you score? How did you find it?

This Time, 100 Calculations

Don't be put off by the guy in the video. Before too long, with practice, you could be where he is.

You know what they say – Shoot for the stars and get the moon.

Brain Age Head Count

There's a house party going on.

You're the Health and Safety Officer.

Okay, that's a joke. But it is your job to keep tabs on the number of guests present.

You know how many are in the house to start with, and you keep a running total as guests come and go.

To make this more challenging, you can go to 'Hard' mode. Here, the guests will enter and leave any which way - through the front door, the back door and even the chimney!

See if you can keep up, here:
