I have spent many years experimenting with many different browsers which i use all the time for various reasons. The browsers i use now are Ie7, which i would never use but windows updates etc still require it. Firefox .K-meleon, Avant and Opera which some of you may have already heard of, and are using now, But my reasons for using so many are that some use up less process power than others which is vital if your PC has a low processor...To test how much processing resources your browser is using just open up the task manager by pressing "ctr/alt/Del" or "right click" on the "task bar" then "click" on the "options tab" and tick all the options and then "minimise" you will still see the process status in the system tray which is very handy..

Some browsers will be faster and more customisable and have more features than others, Ive also discovered that no particular browser has everything i require so i use them all, and have learned to use them where and when i need, and if you only have one or even two then i would deffinetly recommend trying others and finding the right ones for you, as they all have there own little niche,.

I have friends who say they have problems viewing video content even though they have the appropriate players, or cant open up there mail or submit stuff to websites, or are receiving those annoying error 404, etc etc codes, so i say, have you tried doing it with another browser? which would sometimes fix there problem .

Another tip.If you have do a lot of "script" based searches on the net and your pc has very little "processing power" and "or" have a"low Internet connection" speed then, choose a browser specialy for this purpose and have the images, animations, and java, disabled which will load pages much faster and save so much time, and recources even if you have a new pc and a high internet connection speed its a must.

Browsers are updating with newer versions many times a year thats why its impossible to give you detailed infomation about each of the them in full, like why dosent some browsers have a "page auto refresh" feature or the feature to move back and forward pages by holding the right click button down and clicking left and "vice versa",which can be done, not only faster but can even be done with your eyes closed and this perticular feature along with many others is a "must"

Ps You will see that my homepages are set to "google suggests"which is so usefull and can save so much time typing the full search queary and gives you lots of suggestions as you type in the seach box, to eneble this click on "more" in the google home page and then click on "google labs" then google suggests and set this to your home page or cut n paste this, and set as your home page:)
