Many people outside of California and even internationally would say that they would love to live in the Sunshine State because of the friendly and laid back attitude, multi-cultural communities, and perfect weather. There aren’t too many other states that offer beaches, mountains, forests, deserts and snow all in a single 100 mile radius. California has a magnificent history of Hollywood royalty, television and arts backgrounds, and beautiful scenery found in many major movies. There are also many luxurious communities that offer the most upscale living arrangements in all of the United States. Residents of California often find it hard to conjure up a complaint about living in one of the most beautiful and scenic coastal states in the continental US.

And while other states across America deal with flooding, tornadoes, thunderstorms, intense heat and extreme winters on a yearly basis, California does have one major problem that residents face each fall season. Apart from many major cities lying on major fault lines that can cause earthquakes, residents are in constant worry each year for the possibility of a detrimental fire storm. Residents living in all parts of California will say that they enjoy the two seasons that their state partakes in: perfect summer months and rainy winters that last about a month or so. But in between these two season lies dry Santa Ana winds and intense heat that will often start many fires – this is called wildfire season.

Because of the intense heat, California can almost be considered a desert because of its major lack of precipitation. Forests and greenery have died and have left many fields of dry brush and lakes and other small bodies of water have also dried up due to the lack of rain. Many residents who own homes in California and who are also near dry brush should most definitely think about investing in Fire/Hazardous Brush Insurance to safeguard their home, family and bank account from completely falling apart. Even homes along the coast will often see that mountains and hills full of dry brush will provide quite a hazard when Fire Season begins.

Many home insurance companies have also known this recent upheaval in California wild fires and have had to reevaluate homes that have a close proximity to fire danger. Insurance companies have found that they don’t want to invest or insure in too many homes that are at risk and are sometimes forced to drop home policies for properties that are within 2,500 ft. to fire hazard and heavy brush areas. In these cases, the homeowner is notified that their insurance company has dropped their claim and that they must immediately find a new insurance carrier. This is often extremely expensive for the homeowner and causes much stress. If this is the case, it is vital to lock in an affordable insurance policy with a company that specializes in California fire insurance. As a homeowner that lives in an area that is susceptible to fire danger, it is extremely important to take the necessary precautions before it’s too late.
