How To Build A Website in Under 30 Minutes

There are a lot of folks out there who want to get a business going online, or maybe just want to have a personal site. This quick "how to" is for those who need a decent, easy to manage website fast.

Maybe you joined a program that helps you market your site or teaches Internet marketing but you have nothing to market yet. Or maybe you have the idea, but no site and you don't have time or money to go lay out weeks and days to get a site up and running.

If you need a simple, easy to manage, professional looking site up in under an hour and for about $50 or less, this HUB is for YOU!

OK, you have 10 minutes for this part, don't over think it, it is a learning experience. Decide what type of subject matter you want your site to be on. If you do not know, then pick a hobby you have passion about.

Now, if you do not already have domain name that relates to your subject matter, go register one. You can use any number of registrars, need guidance, ask as I am not promoting anyone, I am just helping folks get started quickly!

OK 10 minutes is up, you have your subject matter and your domain, time for action!

OK, you have a domain and a subject matter. Now you need to get proper hosting. We will be using wordpress to set up your site so you need to search for hosting that has fantastico and allows for multiple domain hosting. You can search this on any search engine.

You can get this for under $10 a month, usually around $6.95, and will be able to add more domains as you wish.

Set-up your hosting and either register your domain or add your domain to the hosting per the welcome message your host will send.

Oh, pick hosting that has good customer service and also sets up your account immediately. Most do. Use their online chat if you want to verify.

OK, now you have hosting. Log into your control panel (instructions will be in your welcome message), and click on the fantastico icon.

Next, choose to install wordpress. This will be automated, and I recommend you install it in the root directory.

Once wordpress is installed, you can login and edit and ad pages, change layouts, etc. In the links at the bottom of this page are some references to sites you can get s some free tutorials and themes to pretty things up a bit.

Again, don't over think this. Your goal is to get a working domain up so you can use it in your learning efforts for social networking and Internet marketing. Designers and web developers may say this is stupid, cheap way. It is cheap, but it is not stupid. I have 30 minute wordpress sites making very nice incomes. This is a way to "get started" especially if you are on a budget and time constraints.
