Why Buy American cars?

The time has come for America to stop and think for a moment about how we buy new and used cars. the industry for years has been plagued by high cost and most certainly in the case of the US auto manufacturers, there has been quality issues. Not anymore though! The quality of the American car has in many cases exceeded the japanese counterparts. In one of my previous blogs, i offered a link to the story about the sludge judge and Toyotas recent woes in quality control. The fact is, all manufacturers at some point suffer quality problems, but it has always been highly publicsized that American cars and trucks were not the same quality as the imports. I am not saying that buying a foreign car is bad, but merely stating that our economy for many years was driven by the automobile industry, the bithplace of the modern car as we know it was downtown Detroit, now reduced to all but a shambles of what was once a thriving metropolitan area.

Giving yourself a chance to drive and feel the new products from America will only solidify what I am talking about. The next time you think about getting a new car, consider an American product, heck, one look at the new 2010 Camaro will prove that styling and performance are a reality. A V6 that delivers 305HP or a V8 that can propel you at warp speed with a 425HP Corvette engine, just one example of many new products currently on dealer lots.

Some noteable vehicles that get a major thumbs up are the New chevy Traverse, Malibu, Tahoe and Silverado, or the super quick and smooth Corvette. If its a Ford product, the new Edge or Fusion, the new F series trucks. from chrysler the challenger and their new minivan is the ultimate People mover at vey affordable prices. Jepp has also come out recently with a newer version of their Liberty, bigger roomier and with more power and enough features to keep even the keenest auto enthusiast busy with their owners manual.

Taking advantage of retail incentives right now can also help you save thousands of dollars. Manufacturers are trying hard to get you into the showrooms with interest rates at 0 percent for as much as 72 months in some cases and huge buying incentives such as guaranteed trade in values or assurances that your payment will be made if you lose your job. ( See dealer for details).

So, the sixty four thousand dollar question is, are you prepared to bring back to America the proud feeling of driving a vehicle that is made in America, by Americans and for Americans? if you are, good for you, if not, well just keep pumping your money into products that eventually find your dollars going overseas!
