Bypass your proxy- Suggestion 1

Most of you are really annoyed by the fact that you are not able to visit your favorite site because u are thrown with the following error "Access Denied" or "Is it a good site to visit?". It really irritates you and deep down you began to curse the wretched company or school or college administrator for the policies they adopt.

Today I am going to give you a simple and well known technique to bypass this annoying restriction.

Web proxies

There a several hundred if not thousand web proxies which allow you to access restricted sites. All you need to do is go to this site and type in your banned web site's URL and viola you are in. There are two types of web proxies normal one and CGI enabled ones .Usually you need to opt for the latter one so as to access sites like myspac, orkut, facebook etc (ie the sites which require you to login before proceeding). I will list a few sites below but its just a matter of time before you network admin finds those sites and bans them. So make sure that you have a few proxy web address by heart.

Usually the proxy servers filter based on the content being transmitted or the web address or ip addresses . For example in my college the proxy server immediately bans the web page from being displayed if it finds the word proxy in the URL. So if one even types the word proxy in Google search the result is banned.

So make sure that you choose a proxy server which encrypts/encode the URL.Most of the proxy servers use BASE 64 encoding for the web address. At times encrypting the URL is not just sufficient because the proxy might go through the contents of what you are requesting and if it finds a banned keyword it will block the page. The solution for this is to encrypt the data being sent too. Https protocol comes the the rescue. So choose the web server that uses Https encryption and that encodes or encrypts the URL. Also note that these proxies must allow you to set cookies or else you cant visit any of those sites that require you to login.

The most easiest way is to use Firefox and get a add on for it. Instead of each time visiting a web proxy one can easily get the addon installed and then use it as a alternate web address bar.So go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ and search for the appropriate plugin of your choice.
