How to find campers for sale

When it come to buying a camper there are several ways you can go about this.

NEW - You can purchase a brand new model which if you can afford it is definitely the best way to go. Each season the new models have more and more accessories and features making them the ultimate in home comfort and on the road safety. You can usually get very comfortable financing on a brand new camper as buying them outright can be extremely costly.

USED DEALERSHIP - Finding campers for sale at a used dealership is a fairly safe way to go about getting your camper and is often the preferred method for those who can't quite stretch to the repayments on a brand new deal. Though most dealerships offer good guarantees you should still exercise precaution at the moment of purchase as it is not uncommon for a used camper to have been given a face-lift as it were and appear to be in good condition when really it is hiding some major flaws.

You need to read the RV Buyer's Guide which explains step by step what you should look out for when purchasing used campers and RVs.

AUCTIONS (Police and Repo auctions) - This is bay far the cheapest way to get a good high quality camper. Most of the units available are repossessed or seized and in most cases are brand new and hardly used. The starting prices at these auctions tends to be ridiculous and some great bargains can be obtained. For details of seized auctions you should check out the Seized Vehicle Auctions site or Auction Pass where you can bid on seized vehicles from $100.

PRIVATE SALES - Probably the most common way to find a used camper. Take great care as these sales carry little or no security and you may end up with a nightmare on your hands. Having said that, if you take due diligence and read up on how to tell a good camper from one that will give you problems later on and you might be able to get yourself a decent model at a fair price. Be careful and read the RV Buyers Guide beforehand.
