There is a big misunderstanding surrounding this question. Because the truth is that there is no known cure for HPV which is the virus causing genital warts. However, genital warts can be cured in a number of ways.

Let me explain. In 90% of cases, the tests for HPV become negative 6 to 12 months after the tissues of genital warts are destroyed. In the remaining 10 % of cases, there is a risk that there will be a new outbreak of genital warts. The probability of having genital warts come back after treatment depends on the ability of the person's immune system to tackle the virus.

Let me assure you though that his condition can't go on forever. In the worst cases, it will last beyond five years. So when a person treat genital warts, there is a probability that this person may suffer two or three outbreaks over a couple of years, but this can't go on forever.

So if you're still asking : " can genital warts be cured ?", then the answer is definitely yes. But, there will always be a probability of future outbreaks if your immune system fails to tackle the virus. However, this should be no major concern, since you now know that it is possible to tackle future outbreaks until your immune system gets you rid of HPV.
