There seems to be an on going debate over Conventional cancer treatments and Alternative cancer treatments. So what's the big deal? Well actually, the big deal lies behind the cancer patient's life. In my search for the truth about Conventional cancer treatments vs. Alternative cancer treatments, there was so much I wanted to know. I wanted to understand why alternative cancer treatments were not approved by the FDA if they worked so well, as many are claimining including doctors themselves? I also wanted to know if chemotherapy, radiation and surgery were the only approved cancer treatments, then why are there so many complaints from people, researchers, doctors and experts? Why are people turning their heads to these approved methods? I mean the FDA does have the patients best interest at heart, right?

Finally I wanted to find a person who actually had used an alternative cancer treatment and their results and I wanted to find a person who used the conventional approved treatment and their results. The latter would be easier because I already knew 3 people who had underwent chemo, radiation, and surgery. My father (throat cancer), my grandmother (colon cancer) and an ex-neighbor (prostate cancer). I had actually been keeping an eye on my father who underwent chemotherapy about a year ago, followed by my grandmother who had surgery followed by radiation, and my ex-neighbor received radiation with no other treatments. To date my father and grandmother are fairing well. My neighbor had his radiation for prostate cancer back in 2006, and is also fairing well. They are all in remission. My father as well as my ex-neighbor believe their cancer is gone for good. But is it really? I am hopeful that this is the case.

However I'm somewhat concerned due to reports I've read, where months or even years later after these treatments, cancer resurfaces again. So my real concern is, does the approved methods for treating cancer treat the root of the problem or just the symptoms of the promblem? The answers I discovered were to say the least, discouraging as far as conventional medicine was concerned. Conventional Cancer Treatments - What's Wrong With Them?

The only cancer treatments approved by the FDA, are Chemotherapy, Radiation, and Surgery. According to the FDA an effective cancer treatment or drug, is one that has a 50% reduction in tumor size or more and lasts at-least 28 days. Survival rate is at or around 5 years, rarely more. Chemotherapy is a very toxic drug that when administered kills cancer cells and unfortunately normal cells too. Many patients experience supressed immune systems causing weakness and nausea amongst other serious side effects. Both radiation and chemotherapy put the patient at risk of developing a second cancer, according to some experts. So in the field of mainstream medicine there is no cure for cancer. Which has been well documented.

Chemotherapy is ineffective at treating most cancers with the exception of lymphocytic leukemia, hodgkins disease, nonseminomatous testicular cancer and a few other, very rare cancers. Experts argue that mainstream medicines are only treating the symptoms of cancer and not the root of the problem. Patients enter into a vicious cycle of toxic treatments that do more damage than good in the long run. If by any chance life is prolonged due to chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery, the patient believes that they are cured. Again experts argue that this is not the case, and most of the time cancer will resurface again, (rather it be months or years) because the root of the problem has not been solved. Alternative Cancer Treatments - What's Wrong With Them?

Alternative Treatments have been around for many years, since 1920 according to some doctors, researchers, experts and scientist. There are over 100 alternative cancer treatments. These alternatives are natural, non-toxic and harmless. These treatments are not quackery or ineffective as the media, mainstream medicine promoters and other government officials declare. So why aren't alternative cancer treatments approved?

First of all these alternative treatments aren't approved because they have not undergone the extensive FDA testing that all new drugs must pass before being approved. Second, this process takes years of research, reporting, and cost millions of dollars. Third, the only ones who can afford this are pharmaceutical companies, and even they won't support this process if they can not obtain a patent on the substance and profit through sales. Fourth, natural derived substances can not be patented, only man-made chemicals and processes can. Since substances from nature can't be patented then they will never be tested according to the FDA protocol. Therefore if they can't be tested, they can't be approved officially, no matter how effective they are.

So the term, "unproven" which labels alternative cancer treatments, is misleading some argue. Although these alternative treatments haven't been approved according to FDA protocol, they have been proven as safe and effective through clinical experience in treating cancer patients. Furthermore, many alternative treatments are based on nutrition, which suggests that nutrition plays a supreme role in treating cancer, but, once again the FDA does not consider any treatments based on nutrition either, which most alternative treatments are based on.

How Will Society Discern What's True?

People are becoming confused over this controversy of conventional medicines and alternative medicines. On behalf of conventional medicines you have its supporters saying that alternative medicine is a fraud, quackery and ineffective. On behalf of alternative medicine you have its supporters saying there is effective alternative cancer treatments, and the AMA, FDA, FTC are suppressinig these methods and conventional medicine is not even close to being as effective as these alternative treatments are.

There is such a desperate plead to society coming from these supporters of alternative treatments. In my opinion these are people who really care about the health of the cancer patient. Thank God for the internet that has become a voice for those who would otherwise be unheard. Now alternative cancer treatments are being looked into more and more. Yet the government calls them quackery treatments, and immediately dismisses their effectiveness on cancer. Why would their be numerous and numerous of free information all over the net promoting and pleading these alternative treatments free of charge, in most cases. The testimonies that fill up these web pages - who on God's green earth would take the time to write about these things if they didn't truly care about society and this dreadful disease - cancer. The FDA hasn't approved alternative treatments, so gain doesn't appear to be a huge motive. Everything costs money anyway. However alternative treatments cost little compared to conventional treatments. Furthermore, the voices behind these alternative treatments belong to Doctors, Scientists, Researchers, etc,. who discovered that these alternative treatments do indeed worked.

While there are some who are taking advantage of those with cancer by selling ineffective alternative treatments in the attempt to make money off of desperate cancer patients or loved ones, there are also some very concerned individuals who are desperately trying to help cancer patients from their heart and not their wallet. So what makes these few corrupt individuals who take advantage of a sick person's despair any different than those who legally and continually feed poison into the bodies of patients, and who are not interested in what many scientists, researchers and other professionals have discovered as an effective alternative treatment to cancer? Is conventional medicine the only thing we can hope for? If so we are in trouble! (my opinion)

Blaming Alternative Treatments When Conventional Treatments Don't Work

There have been patients that have undergone chemotherapy and/or radiation several times after which with no improvement, they have been given up on by orthodox doctors. The patient at their sickest, decides to seek alternative cancer treatments and when that fails, it is the alternative treatment that is at fault. So after the patient is nearly dead from the conventional treatments which are poisonous, it is the alternative approach that is blamed. Alternative treatments aren't exactly miracle treatments, they like any other treatment, take time, and work best when the body hasn't been too damaged by conventional medicine or other means. Time is of the essence when treating cancer. Where chemotherapy has to be stopped and continued due to its poisonous effects, alternative treatments due to its non-toxic and non-damaging effects - can be continued without any halts in treatment, therefore giving the body the best defense to heal itself. Please note too much of anything rather natural or synthetic can cause toxicity.

My Personal Opinion

I believe that every person has the right to choose their own treatment for cancer rather it be conventional or alternative. I also believe that we as a people have allowed the government as well as others to have full power over our medical decisions. We have put our full trust in man and not God, (Jeremiah 17:5) therefore it is so easy to be persuaded by what we're told by the media, FDA, AMA, pharmaceutical companies, etc,.I don't mean to get religious on anyone. Like in Jeremiah, they believed in only what they could see as proof, which were their armies, the diplomacy of their king, and foreign alliances to protect them from the powerful Babylonian Empire, which could not protect them. When it was too late they realized they had neglected the only one who could guide them and deliver them, which was God.

We are no different today, we only believe in what the media, government and other officials tell us, we believe in the system, but look we are dying and to date those officiating over our lives can not save us either. God always has a way! We have either loss or have not developed discernment for the truth. We should be able to trust the FDA and other governing authorities when it comes to medicine or anything else they have approved, but we need to constantly pay attention especially when it comes to our well-being.

We must also understand and keep in mind, that outside of our own personal world there exist those who are corrupt and controlled by money and that money exercises power and that power controls the outcome of many things. While I don't have proof that money is the authority that controls the FDA, pharmaceutical companies, etc. as many do declare. But, I do believe that it is possible in a non-perfect world such as the one we live in. God said in his word: 1 Timothy 6: 9-10 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the ruler of all evil, which some coveted after, they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. Wake up Folks, pay attention, we live in a cruel, selfish and driven by money kind of world.

Just because alternative treatments don't have a big pharmaceuitical name behind them, or the approval of the FDA, doesn't mean that these treatments are ineffective. Most alternative treatments don't and won't survive the FDA's protocol. We must take responsibility for our own health, meaning we must educate ourselves about our own bodies, available medicines (natural or conventional) and how they negatively or positively affect our body's natural chemistry. Knowledge is power, but understanding is chief. We may know that chemo, radiation and surgey are approved cancer treatments, but do we really understand what they are and do to our bodies? I'm not here to tell you to choose this or that, I'm only here to wake you up on some things you may know but may not have understood before now. I knew there were officially approved treatments for cancer and just like the rest of society that was good enough. I trusted that who ever was behind these productions had the patient's health at heart. Now I see a another world of medicine, another opinion - natural medicine.

Through numerous testimonies of cancer patients, experts, scientist and doctors, without money profit motives behind them, I knew then, that there was another way, a new hope, yet different and unconventional. This information also helped me to understand how I inadvertently put my health in the hands of man and not God. Although God can and does work through faithful, honest and sincere people. You'll know them by the fruit they bare. A good tree can't produce evil fruit and a corrupt tree can't produce good fruit (Mathew 7:15-16). We definitely have to look at the fruit others are producing, before we decide to accept them as partners in our health or any other area of our life, and that goes for those over conventional or alternative treatments . God created everything man needed when he created man - the fruit is meat and the leaf is our medicine. (Ezekiel 47:12) Another great reference that God created everything we needed. (Genesis 1:29). It is the blind (governing authorities) leading the blind (us). Where can we go if we are both blind? Not very far. Somebody has to open their eyes and look outside the box!
