I often get bad dreams, even if I already woke up and get back into sleep, fow few seconds I can feel that the dream is coming back and I feel something weird and then I cannot move my body, my mind is trying to fight this rigidity by trying to move my fingers and tryinmg to shout. I know that people die on their sleep and when autopsy is done they said it's acute pancreatitis...but I do not think that's the only reason, there's more explanation out there to be discovered, because i do not sleep when I am full yet I get this nightmare regularly, sometimes I am just cathching my life, I even saw myself one time opening the door of my room thinking that I already woke up from my bad dream, then I realized I am still struggling in bed and it seems it was my soul that came out of my body that time. If seizure has an aura, then I will call it an aura too because my body and mind is so used to having regular bad dreams that it seams my body prepares and signals me that I will have a bad dream, then my body again cannot move even my mind is awake. Is there anybody there that knows more about bad dreams? and why I become stiff and cannot move my body and it seems I am going to die that minute?
Angela! I've been experiencing exactly the same as yours! And it has an aura phase too, as what I call it. I hear loud buzzing sounds as a sign.. the next thing i know i can't move my body! and i try my best to fight the rigidity and all. and yes, i know my mind is awake because i can see my room, the lights, etc. but worst of all, i often see ghost-like entities and it only get to disappear once i got control to move my body. i always thought i'm going to die whenever that happens. and through repeated experience, i noticed it usually happens around 3am. i've been thinking perhaps my brain is too tired that's why i experience such things. but still i want to know more about it. can anyone help us??
Karen and Angela what you are feeling is not ''bad dreams'' you have some thing that will sound the same as a bad dream but is not. Night terrors is what i feel from the discribtion you have. Angela you say you want you scream and shout in your dream, struggling and fighting around in your bed? is it correct you say you can remember the hole dream very well and when you are dreaming you feel its real like you are going to die witch makes you waking up with fear and when you go back to sleep after or even the next day your mind will slip back to the same dream you know whats going to happen but you cant change any thing.... if you answer a couple questions i think i know a soulition to stop your night terrors.

i have bad dreams. they arnt what you call "bad" but very confusing. my ex left me a while ago now. i feel i am over it. but sometimes i dream of her and its very strange cause its like im wanting a second chance in the dream. or im trying to be close to her. some dreams she does come back. but most times i wake up before anything really happens. i mean, i dont ask her to come back in these dreams but its like a shared feeling. however when i am awake my opinion to her is nothing. it doesnt bother me when awake.
i am a 26 year old i wake up in a sewat and no one is in the room i live at home with my mum and my brother i told my mum about my bad dreams.

I've been thinking for quite a while now and i think honestly a persons diet has effect on that persons Dreams and or Nightmares?! I can't 100% confirm that but that might be one of the reasons??
