Cure a Cause of Belly Fat by Ending Chronic Exhaustion

A Cause of Belly Fat May Be Chronic Exhaustion

If we have a clue what is causing our belly fat we are closer to solving that situation. What causes belly fat is a question that we all should ask ourselves before we go headfirst into the latest diet craze. It's easy to get the cart before the horse and react to whatever is promising results and hope that will be the end to our battle of the bulge. However, this kind of thinking will lead us on what can be an endless round of diet after diet. We never get to the point that we consider what may have caused the problem in the first place.

There is not a diet book that I do not own. Every diet that has come out has been my "saving grace" for at least a couple of days! I really am a marketers dream. Just show me the hype and tell me how easy it will be. That's all I need to hear and I'm hooked. I'm extremely trusting and want so desperately to think it could be that simple.

Somehow after each diet I would end up just like I started....with belly fat. The only thing that made me consider there might be underlying reasons for my problem was a medical appointment.

We all go through periods in our lives when things are tough and we are faced with constant serious struggles. Because of this I tended to lay awake at night and never get anything that was real rest. The result was that each and every day I was chronically exhausted.

My Doctor has to be one of the few that wants to make sure what she tells you is useful. She pointed out the reality of what effect this chronic fatigue was having on my life and my inability to lose weight.

The first connection she showed me was that while I was normally a disciplined person I was having a very hard time maintaining that. My energy was being used just to get through the day. When all you can think about is whether you can squeeze in a nap, the things that require you to focus just don't make the list! It's difficult to concentrate on the things that aren't absolutely necessary, like eating right, when you are in this state of exhaustion.

I was so busy fighting off the feeling that I was going to fall over and asleep, I became desperate for anything that would give me some sort of "pick me up" and help me get through the rest of the day.Of course that sent me in the direction of one of the classic bad habits of constant dieters....the mid-afternoon snack. Granted this snack when you feel this way has to be a candy bar or a soda for instant energy (or if you're like me...BOTH!). So once again being chronically fatigued has played into my weight .

If you think about how slowly you feel like moving when you are tired, imagine how your body is responding. Certainly it is not the quick burning, efficient metabolism you might have had. This sluggishness effects how your body uses food. You may have made healthy choices in your eating that day. But your metabolism is slow and will not be processing that food into energy very quickly.

The fact that my self esteem was suffering from my exhaustion took a minute to get used to. But when I considered that all the goals and plans I had were often put on the back burner when I was wiped out it started to make sense. I was having a hard time just getting up and moving in the morning. I simply did not have the energy it took to make myself look great. Things like putting on makeup and doing my hair were sometimes more than I could push myself to do. Going out not looking great has an effect on how I felt about myself. Being disciplined and remembering my good intentions was not in the cards.Good-bye to healthy eating habits and exercise!

This is just the first of five causes of belly fat that are playing a role in my life. If chronic exhaustion plays a part in your life you definitely want to check outthis program that helps treat it.

In my lifetime I don't think there is a diet out there that I haven't been on at least once. My library of diet books is embarrassing and dates back to the FIRST time that the Atkins diet came around. I really am a marketers dream. Just show me the hype and tell me how easy it will be. That's all I need to hear and I'm hooked. I'm extremely trusting and want so desperately to think it could be that simple.

But years and years of dieting had left me in the same place...with a roll of fat around my middle. It was a chance Doctors appointment that started me thinking that there might be real reasons I was fighting this problem.

I was at a time in my life when everything in general and some "challenges" (got to love 'em!) in specific had taken a toll on my sleep. It had gone beyond not just getting a good nights sleep every now and then. I was chronically tired and lived in a state of exhaustion.

It's difficult to concentrate on the things that aren't absolutely necessary, like eating right, when you are in this state of exhaustion.

Being that tired all day, every day also was leaving me "starved" for energy. I would do anything to have a little burst of steam to help me get through the day. Of course that sent me in the direction of one of the classic bad habits of constant dieters....the mid-afternoon snack. Granted this snack when you feel this way has to be a candy bar or a soda for instant energy (or if you're like me...BOTH!). So once again being chronically fatigued has played into my weight .

Lack of energy also has an effect on your metabolism. If you consider the speed with which you attack your day, you will have some idea of what is going on inside as your body processes food. On the off chance that you were able to eat in a healthy manner, it is not going to be that quick metabolism burning those calories and turning them into energy.

Perhaps the connection between my exhaustion and weight that made the most sense was the explanation of what happens to our self esteem. It's upsetting to not succeed at the things we are trying to be disciplined at. But consider this...when it's all you can do to get out of bed in the morning, seldom are you motivated to take great care in getting dressed and look sharp...(need I say sweats and sneaks?) We all know that when we don't really care about how we look it effects how we act as well. Things just don't seem as important when we dress down. So it's easy to forgo our determination and good habits.

Years of trial and error have certainly made me aware of every diet tip out there. I used to think that there were none that would work, no matter what. I've changed my mind on that. Certain ideas work really well on specfic types of problems. To lose the belly fat was my most important mission since that was where it all seemed to collect.

If you want to flatten your abs, (and for me it was not only zip up the skinny jeans, but give away the "big shirts" I wore as my daily uniform) you can find some of the important causes here.

Losing the belly fat takes the right combination of tricks to solve that problem. Why not do the things that will make the change a lasting one? Get the body you have spent a lifetime wanting!
