Now centrino laptops get a new design chipset from centrino to maximize the performance of the laptop. The heart of the new Centrino Duo Design is the new mobile chipset GM965 and Core 2 Duo. There are five main areas for improvement in this new design, and the benefits that consumers can find in their laptops. The main feature of the Centrino Duo is the new Core 2 Duo mobile processors which use FSB 800 MHz. Previous generations of processors of Core 2 Duo supported only up to a speed of 667 MHz bus. New design allows the laptop to have a fast memory and a DDR2 memory to deliver performance in general intensive applications.
1. Improvement in battery life is the practical implementation of new projects that will benefit the centrino laptop users. Intel previously developed a process called SpeedStep in which the CPU multiplies in idle periods which helps to reduce the energy consumption. The problem is that the chipset does not run full front side bus, so full of energy. The new chipset and processor changes the speed of buses, even further reducing energy consumption compared to the previous chipset by Centrino. Another feature is the deep sleep mode. It is the status of investigations to wake up the processor when the system is inactive. The two together helps a lot in cenrino laptops overall battery life.
2. Configured wireless network is also an added support for the chipset Intel on the draft 802.11n wireless standard. This allows the centrino laptops to operate at faster speeds and greater distances in a compatible wireless network.
3. The Intel Turbo Memory is an option for systems bearing the logo, Centrino Duo. This is a feature included in the NAND on the motherboard to take advantage of the ReadyBoost feature of new applications of the operating system of Windows Vista. ReadyBoost also reported an increase in flash memory as cache or system memory available. Combined with Windows SuperFetch, the system promises to improve response times as well.
4. Finally, the modernization of integrated Intel graphics solutions for the new Vista Aero interface is compatible. The new X3100 graphics solution increases the performance of integrated graphics when you add Clear Video Technology. This helps to improve the clarity of the video de-interlacing the video streams.
