Cheap Ink Cartridges - Can They Void My Printer Guaranttee?

Cheap Ink Cartridges - Will They Void My Printer Guaranttee?

Aside From the cautions issued by the

Manufacturers of printers, that Cheap Ink Cartridges "might" void

the printer guaranttee, this is not the truth.

In fact, it is not permitted by law to void a

warranttee for using a non genuine

consumable, no matter what the product.

An example of this is in the Automotive

industry. Not so long ago auto manufacturers were highly

agressive in suggesting that they could not apply

the warranttees for the vehicles

if they were not serviced using their own

brand name parts. There was even strong suggestions

that the motor vehicle had to be serviced in their own

work shops.

Governments all over the world have implemented

legislation to stop this

type of standover activity.

Consequently manufacturers have had to remain

carefull in the way they choose to word the

details of their guarantees. That is why you will

see the terms "might" and "could" void

the guaranttee.

In spite of these laws, there remains

now a belief for many users that the

guaranttee is in jeopardy if they do not

use the manufacturers product.

Clearly the manufacturers are very good in

creating doubt in the consumers minds.

In reality, no one has the right to void a

warranttee for using a non original consumable

product. The laws that are in place just

shift the responsibility of repairing the

product to the provider of the part at fault

and subsequently to the producer of the specific

cartridge.

So in the most unusual occurence you get a

Cheap Ink Cartridges that damages to your printer if it be a

generic or re-filled cartridge,

the person now responsible to you for

repairing the printer is whoever supplied

the damaged product to you.

When Do I Know If A Cheap Ink Cartridges Has Damaged To The Printer.

OK lets say the printer is no longer operating

and you have taken it to, or spoken to the makers

authorised agent. They have told you that the

fault has been caused by a non original

or re-filled cartridge.

The very first thing you are advised to do is

request them to put that statement in writting on their official

letter. If they object, just explain

that it is your understanding that the guaranttee is in reality

not voided, simply it is referred on to the proider

of the faulty Cheap Ink Cartridges, and that you need their

determination to deliver to the supplier

to stake your request.

You might also advise that you think

you will need to get another opinion, as you

believe it is the right of the supplier

of the at fault product to receive

an independant opinion.

You will also need to be sure that the

faulty Cheap Ink Cartridges are still in the printer, or are

present for you to have.

Next I would take a look at your local phone

pages and see if you can find a local

non-affiliated repairer of printers. This might

not be that simple as the current low cost of

buying new printers has resulted in a chuck it away

mentality to broken printers. Anyway it is

a good concept to have the name of a technician to

offer to the supplier when you tell them of the

problem if you can.

Your supplier of the Cheap Ink Cartridges may want some time

to take a look at the claim and this would

be OK provided a definite time frame is identified

for you to be advised of their Opinion.

If the supplier has a differing opinion of what the

fault is, then request that they put the views in

writting on business letterhead.

If there is conflicting opinions, I suggest

that you simply write to the businesses of your

intent to notify the localrelevant Government organisation

to resolve on the situation.

Tell them they have 2 or 3 days to reply before you

take this path. Include the relevant

paper work.

Hopefully you will get someone

to accept responsibilty to repair the problem. If

not, it is your choice to take additional action.

Unfortunately this can be more trouble than beneficial.

I wish you well, do a bit of research and I am sure

you will be able to find a good supplier

of Cheap Ink Cartridges for your print needs, and avert this sort

of issue in the beginning by buying from

a good supplier.
