Chasing MLM Company or a great opportunity not to make any money

Just one simple experience in MLM
Do you like the idea of MLM? I love it.
You just join the Company (for free, or shed couple of bucks for a kit, not a big deal), they would teach you what to do (for free, of course). You tell couple of people to do the same and voila! You are just sitting at home in your pajamas doing nothing, checking you account and sure enough it's going to look like Christmas every single day! Like the picture? I adore it. Life can be so educational or entertaining or both. I like to make people laugh. As my mother used to say: it's better to laugh than to cry. But she never followed her own advice. And she was the most pessimistic person I ever new.
I joined at a certain time 3 MLM companies not simultaneously though and successfully failed in all of them. I do not want to tell you the names of the companies I got into relationship with and I will tell you why. May be somebody at this very moment is doing terrific job with these companies, experiencing overwhelming success raking millions and I do not want to spoil his moment.
Who am I? Let me introduce myself: accomplished triple looser (in MLM at least), dumb marketer, who cannot make a single penny in any opportunity. But for the sake of truth, I have to tell you that. I do not like telling fibs. So you can laugh at my face or with me, it does not really matter.
First company I joined was selling some miracle juice (30ml a day and all your problems including non medical will be solved immediately). You'll be happy, healthy and strong. You have to understand that miracle is not cheap. That means, you pay around $70+ for a bottle of juice plus $100 for the opportunity(kit). That lady who signed me in conducted the business in a special manner that hardly could be duplicated by anybody. She would buy the box, usually 5-10 boxes at once of the product. There were approximately 6 bottles in a box, $70 each. She would give away a box to a distributor who signed in under her and he had to sell the juice and give her money back later. Nice?
Not really, most people did not have money or skills to duplicate the same and eventually people just returned the juice (including me) back to her. Not to mention the fact the product was way too expensive, I did not see any improvement to my health and could not recommend anybody to pay $70 for a bottle of pasteurized juice.
I did not sell any juice, returned the rest (one bottle I drank for mere curiosity). Never in my life I drank more expensive juice. Well, I did not want to give up. It was just wrong product for me. But look at the opportunity! I had to try again.
I joined the company that was selling beauty products. You put some miracle lotion ($180 big ones for a small jar) on your face; all wrinkles will be running away screaming (scared by the price I guess). I went to the meeting. It was the presentation of the product. We were sitting around a beautiful mahogany table in the spacious and airy lounge of a million dollar mansion in Richmond Hill (North of Toronto). We had to put some of that miracle lotion on our faces to check the effect. In five minutes everybody was happily nodding in approval - product worked. I looked in the mirror and to my horror I saw actually more wrinkles, than I thought I had. I jumped on my feet and ran away and never came back. Luckily for me, my upline bought the product back from me, so I haven’t lost a lot of money, because the product was really expensive.
The third company played British lottery online. You buy ticket (actually they buy tickets for you, you just have to pay and you are playing each week and if you win you share with your group. If you win... I was involved for half a year, then I realized that if I deposit 50 bucks a month into savings account, I will end up with half a grand a year very easily and in 5 years if I add a little more, I will be able to buy something really nice and useful. Not just 7 pounds that I won in half a year of playing. So, I quit.
I am not in any MLM opportunity right now. But I have my eyes and ears open. Recently a new hot opportunity has been emerged. The product is just amazing. A new hot cell-phone with amazing technology appeared out of nowhere. May be you heard about Buzzirk Mobile? Somebody called me and said that the product is not delivered yet but everybody is selling it right and left making insane amounts of money.
How do you like that? Product sounds like a miracle (like my juice or lotion may be?). I told this guy to call me in a year. I'll wait this time. I do not need more wrinkles. Not on my face, not in my wallet.
Best of worst, what comes first?

Thanks, Affordablefun/Geri, I am not in any MLM right now and probably not going to be in any opportunity soon for the lack of time and tremendous effort it requires. I work full time and little more and too tired to do anything else. Writing on Hubpages is more like a hobby at this point. If you have something interesting you can always reach me at akorneychuk1@yahoo.com

Hi Home Girl,
How right you are about all MLM the single two reasons anyone fails at any HBB is because of lack of duplication and lack of retention.
I have been in MLM or network marketing now for almost 5 years always in travel, simply because it is a 7.2 trillion dollar industry. The thing that held people back from our economy proof business has been the start up fee. Well now the company has opened a second division that has simply solved the two problems and gone further by even providing the people to connect with.
Home girl I would love to show you this incredible opportunity but how to reach you...? Let us try this 289-820-9146. I do look forward to speaking with you.
Respectfully
Geri
PS: I do not mean to sound like I am advertising on your site. I just agree with you about the reasons too many people fail at HBB's or network marketing.
