Chatham, Massachusetts Hotels, Motels, and Inns

Chatham is one of the most beautiful and charming of the Cape Cod towns. And there is a great variety of motels, hotels, and bread and breakfast inns to choose from. There's the perfect lodging choice for a romantic getaway with your partner to the perfect motel for a birdwatching weekend (Chatham is a great place to see migratory birds.)

I hope this hub helps you find the right Chatham lodging for you and your family. Have a great vacation in Chatham!

The Carriage House Inn bed and breakfast has six guest rooms in a romantic and tranquil setting. The Hawthorne has a private beach and incredible ocean views. The Chatham Motel has comparatively affordable rates, especially in the Spring and Fall, and a pool. The Chatham Bars Inn is a luxury resort the will remind you of the opulent 1930's. I keep thinking I'm in an Agatha Christie mystery when I dine there! Pleasant Bay Village will soothe your soul with its Asian-inspired design and landscaping. The Chatham Highlander Motel is a great choice for bike enthusiasts, it is near the Cape Cod bike trail system and there's a heated pool for relaxing after your ride! The Old Harbor Inn is a charming and elegant bed & breafast.

Carriage House Inn

The Carriage House Inn is located at 407 Old Harbor Road, in Chatham on Cape Cod.

Innkeepers Tim and Paula Miller have created a tranquil and spacious retreat where you can relax in hammocks, chat, and stroll the beautiful grounds. They must be gourmet foodies at heart because their breakfasts are incredible, they have snacks available throughout the day, and even homebaked cookies in the afternoon. If you want to rest there are hammocks and if you want to burn some of the calories off you can stroll through the quaint Chatham downtown or walk to the beach.

Six beautiful and romantic guestrooms are available. Room rates differ by the time of season and the rooms you choose. Main House Rooms 1,2,and 3 rates vary from $139 to $259. Carriage House Rooms vary from $169 to $289. There may be minimum stay requirements, children must be 10 years or older, and all rooms are non-smoking. Pets, except for seeing-eye dogs, are not permitted. To confirm room rates, which are subject to change, and availability call 508-945-4688.

Chatham Bars Inn

The Chatham Bars Inn is located on Shore Road in Chatham on Cape Cod.

In my opinion it is the premiere, most historic Cape Cod resort. Established in 1914, it is with 1/4 mile of one of the most famous beaches on Cape Cod. It's architecture will remind you of the luxurious 1930's as you sit on the Chatham Bars Inn veranda with cocktails and watch the Atlantic Ocean.

It is a popular destination of business conferences (I once watched Alan Greenspan speak here) and weddings. And of course luxurious vacations.

The Chatham Bars Inn has tennis courts, a pool, a private beach, deep sea fishing excursions, tours of Monomoy Island - a birder's paradise, a spa. Oh and some of the best restaurants on Cape Cod with great musical entertainment.

It's a favorite place of mine to celebrate important family occasions.

This is a luxury resort and the rates match that. But they do have lots of specials in the off season, which makes it more affordble!

Chatham Highlander Motel

The Chatham Highlander Motel is located at 946 Main Street in the Chatham Historic District on Cape Cod. The owners are Lorie and Sean O'Connell.

If you love biking, you really want to consider the Chatham Highlander, it is only 1/4 mile from the new Chatham bike trail, which connects to the Harwich bike trail, which eventually Cape Cod Rail Trail. The only thing to consider here is that you bikes aren't allowed in the room - which is understandable. Given the cost of bikes, you might want to call them and find out if there is a secure area for you to keep your bikes. Or invest in a really good lock and rack system on your car. Which you probably already have if your bikes are as expensive as ours!

I also love that they have two heated pools. After a day of biking, that is the perfect place to be!

The motel is small and personal with 29 rooms on 2 acres of land. From April to Memorial Day weekend expect to pay from $89 to $129. From Memorial Day until June 21, rates range from $119 to $169. In the Summer rooms go for from $159 to $209. After Labor Day rates drop to between $129 and $209. After Columbus Day the rates go back to from $89 to $129. Room rates can change so give them a call at 508-945-9038 to check rates and availability and any other stuff like minimum stays, cancellation polices, etc.

Oh, in addition to no bikes, it's no pets and no smoking in the guest rooms.

Chatham Motel

The Chatham Motel is located in the heart of the town of Chatham at 1487 Main Street.

It's a great choice for families on a budget who want to visit Cape Cod. One of the reasons for this is that they have a pool. Quite frankly sometimes it's easier for families with small children to spend a day at the pool than to carry all of their "necessities" to the beach. There are quiet rooms for naps and changing. And from my point of view, clean convenient bathrooms are always a plus!

There are three levels of hotel rooms from standard to deluxe. During the Spring, or before June 21, you can stay in a standard room for only $130 on the weekend. A deluxe room is still an affordable $155. During the summer peak prices may range to $225 for deluxe accomodations.

There are minimum stay requirements. And all rooms are non-smoking and  no pets are allowed. Rates are subject to change without notice, so give them a call at 508-945-2630.

Pleasant Bay Village

The Pleasant Bay Village Resort is located at 1191 Orleans Road in Chatham.
It is one of the most unique resorts on Cape Cod. If you love asian-inspired gardens and room decor, you should really consider staying here. Or if you want a peaceful vacation to renew your spirit.

Pleasant Bay Village is surround by 6 acres of forest including an oriental rock garden and waterfall. It is quite soothing to the spirit. I've had friends stay here, and I wanted to check in with them! The room decor as well has a peaceful Asian tone. Your heartbeat will slow down, just by checking in. But if you do want to visit the Chatham village, it's only a few minutes away.

If you prefer a pool, they have one.

Depending on the type of rooms you want and when you want to plan your vacation daily rates vary from $155 to $525. And as is typical, all rates are subject to change without notice. So give them a call at 800-547-1011.

I don't know if I ever go there but Cape Cod has always fascinated me from pictures I've seen and magazines I read about it. You have described it very well and with detail you can find no other place. Thanks.

Thank you laringo. When I figure out how to make my digital camera and laptop computer talk, I've got pictures to add to the hubs. And lots of new hubs to write about Cape Cod.
