Cheap HDMI Cables For Under $5 - Review

It's hard to believe but the 6' (2M) cable pictured is just under $5 and that includes shipping.

Many people are wary of buying cheap HDMI cables especially when there are others in the $60 range. Well, what's the difference and will you curse yourself if you buy this cable to save yourself some dollars?

Not if the 481 (and counting) 5 star reviews at Amazon are anything to go by. And these reviews are from everyday users who are using the cable on their own LCD TV.

Comments such as "This was the cheapest one I could find, so I bought it. Its performance is absolutely identical to the $50 one I got from Radio Shack."

One guy bought a cable for $124.99 and then compared it to this HDMI lead - "I could notice NO DIFFERNCE WHATSOEVER between the two cables".

This starts to paint a picture. Afterall, both HDMI cables are 'Made In China' where many people are importing cheap electronics from. Without a doubt some are well made and others are very poor.

This cheap HDMI cable however fits into the 'well made' category and therefore there is going to be very little difference if any at all between this and the other HDMI cables except of course the price tag.

Remember, this is digital folks, it is not like analog. With digital all the '1's and '0's are either getting through or they are not and this HDMI cable certainly seems to deliver.

I have to say I personally would be a bit wary to buy a similar cable on one of the main auction websites. That is exactly where all the poorly made electronics from China are being distributed.

But this is from a trusted and reputable seller on Amazon. They have a sturdy return policy for any defective products so you really have little to worry about if you purchase your HDMI cable from them.

Overall this is a great HDMI cable at a very cheap price with a quality that is comparable to the other very much over-priced cables on the market.
