For Guys Eyes Only!

The way the economy is these days I’m sure there are plenty of people looking for ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day with their loved one without breaking the bank.  I asked all my friends and came up with the following excellent and inexpensive Valentine’s Day date ideas:

  1. Make her a simple but elegant breakfast in bed. I recommend scrambled eggs with rolled sautéed turkey ham and sliced oranges and her favorite coffee.
  2. Take a walk trough the park and buy her a single long stem rose. If you don’t have access to a park take her to a specialty garden center and stroll around and then buy her that single long stem rose.
  3. Take her to her favorite sushi restaurant for a small lunch; miso soup, garden salad with ginger dressing and spicy tuna roll.
  4. You should already know what her favorite romantic movie is and if she doesn’t already own the DVD now’s the time to buy it. If she does have the DVD, suggest that you’d like to watch it with her.
  5. Prepare a simple but elegant candle light dinner with soft jazz playing in the background. I recommend thin sliced Prosciutto di Parma tossed with pan roasted Broccoli Rabe with garlic (served slightly chilled). You can find both at better supermarkets or Italian specialty stores. Oh – and a bottle of red wine. And a visually appealing desert – something that looks almost too good to eat.

You can choose one or make a full day of it and try all five!  As an added bonus I recommend a sensuous foot massage.

P.S.  Don’t expect anything in return.
