Finding the Cheapest Price on Ink

Buying printer ink used to be cheap.  Just a few years ago you could buy all the ink you need for your printer without breaking the bank.  However, now that high-quality printing is a must have for most printer owners; the prices of ink have skyrocketed to meet that type of demand.  This can be costly for consumers who do little printing at home or are just printing the very basic of documents.

There are three primary ways to find the cheapest price on ink: You can price match at a retail store, you can purchase ink online or you can refill your own cartridges. Generally, purchasing ink in a store is the most common way to get ink. This is the easiest and least time consuming of the three ways. Since most retail stores price match, you can easily shop around for the cheapest price and ask them to match it. Some stores even price match an additional ten percent for you finding it cheaper elsewhere.

If price matching or going to the store is off the table, finding a cheaper price online may be a better fit. You can browse web sites, even retail ones, to find the best price and then purchase. Of course, there will be additional costs for shipping and a longer wait time, but if you can handle that, this might be the best way for you to get the cheapest price. If you are tired of purchasing ink time and time again, perhaps refilling cartridges would be the cheaper route. Keep in mind that refilling can be costly to start, but once you get the hang of it, it may be the best way to keep printing.

Refilling ink cartridges is not the easiest thing to do in the world, but it can save a lot of money in the long run.  Remember that by refilling ink cartridges, you do run the risk of ruining your printer if you fill them long.  That type of damage is not covered under the scope of the warranty that came with it.  So weigh the pros and cons appropriately.  Finding the cheapest price on ink does not have to be hard, with a little effort, you will find the right strategy for your printing needs.
