Cheap Ink Cartridges - Will They Harm My Printer

Cheap Ink Cartridges - Will They Harm My Printer?

Despite the alarms distributed by the

makers of printers that Cheap Ink Cartridges "might" cause harm

to the printer, In many cases that

will not be the case.

In reality there is just as much chance of a

good standard compatible cartridge

damaging to your printer as there is with the makers

genuine printer ink cartridges.

It is critical to note that in todays market,

producers of printers are releasing the

actual printers into the market at

very low prices and in

most cases the entire printer is cheaper

than the cost of the printer ink cartridges which they use.

Of course they get over that by

including "sample" cartridges with your

initial purchase, or in different examples

they will only package one cartridge.

So don't be caught in the idea that it is less costly

to just buy new printers every time.

This highly competative market place for the

printers gives the manufacturers

with no other place but the printer ink cartridges

to make their money. So

naturally they are going to put as much

doubt out there on the reasons why you

should use their cartridges in

your print needs.

Is There Cheap Ink Cartridges To Avoid?

Definitely, I am not here} to say

that all Printer Ink Cartridges are made to the same standard.

This is just not the reality.

Lets see what you can expect to find.

Firstly you will discover the cost of the

original cartridge. Lets say

the price is $20.00. Then you might discover a

generic around the $12.00 to $15.00 mark, and in some

cases you may additionally identify

some alternatives in the area of the $8.00 to $10.00 mark.

Also you can check out where you can

purchase your printer ink cartridges. There are department

shops, Cartridge specialist stores, computer

shops, and a variety of un related shops

like $2.00 stores, newsagents as well as the markets.

It would be OK to say that no matter where you

buy from, or at which cost level you buy, you

will be very unfortunate to receive Cheap Ink Cartridges

that will in reality cause damage to your printer.

On the other However there are a number of Cheap Ink Cartridges that will not

perform to the same quality level as

the original product.

Now this may not be an issue for you. If your

major printing requirements are that the letters

can easily be read and photos provide a

good example of the actual

picture, then you may choose to get the

cheapest you can get.

My recomendation if this is the case is

for you to buy from a shop you can rely on.

This might include any of the styles of

businesses which have been suggested

above. If you frequent

the local markets, and have every reason to believe that the

store supplying you the Cheap Ink Cartridges will be there

every week, AND will take care of you if

the product fails, or in the unusual

event that it causes harm to your printer, he will

have it fixed or replaced for you.

If on the other hand you expect your cartridges to

act as the genuine do, as a general rule

shops like $2.00 stores, newsagents and the

local markets are often only concerned in

buying and retailing "the cheapest" available.

Unfortunately this generally leads

to a lower quality.

This does not guarantee that Department shops,

specialist stores and computer shops are all

great. I still advise that you

feel comfortable they are a reputable

business, and have a genuine care in

supplying a value for money cartridge, not

simply the cheapest cartridges.

What To Ask When Purchasing Cheap Ink Cartridges;

Will the inks be at the same standard as the genuine

Products?

Are the inks going to|Will the inks} print precisely the same colours as

the genuine? (It may be that the answer is no.

in reality it is likey that this will be the case)

Are the cartridges filled to the same capacity?

My printer is still under warranttee.

What is your policy if your Cheap Ink Cartridges cause harm to

my printer?

What do they do if the product

does not perform as it should?

These types of questions ought not be unfamiliar, and

an honest retailer ought to be

able to answer them with out problem or

animosity. When you are comfortable with the reply

and that the business will be around

for the long term if you have to return, I

recommend you buy from them.

They are not likely to answer those

sort of queries with confidence if they

are not going to back up their cartridges.

Buying Cheap Ink Cartridges over the Net;

If you are the same as me and you prefer to save time buying this

sort of product over the telephone or the net, then

simply apply these buying

processes. Simply proceed the

web sites contact page, and either give them a

call. (note you may not get an answer, many online

shops are not very set up to receiving

telephone calls).

Or send them an email.

Have a look at what they quote in regard to

what time frame it will be to respond, and hold them to it.

If they do not answer in the designated time frame in

regards to a purchasing question, how much time is

it going to be if an issue arises.

In any case you ought to get a level of ease or

uneasiness during this process. If the

email is personally answered and care has been

taken to answer ALL of your queries, you are

probably on to a good supplier.

However you may just get passed to

a terms of trading page on the site.

I personally would never be at ease

with that shop!!!

Buying Cheap Ink Cartridges - In Summarry;

Firstly they are most unlikely to cause harm to

any printer.

Additionally there are quality issues, but

that does relate to your needs,

and something that is no good to a user

might be completly OK to another, that

is purely relative to a set of requirements.

Finally, retailing is all about understanding that

people buy from salesmen whom they

know, like and trust. Subsequently if you buy from a

store whom you know like and trust, or at least

like and trust, even if you do buy Cheap Ink Cartridges which do not

come up to your requirements, you should have placed

yourself in a position to easily having the problem

fixed with no animosity.

I wish you well, do a bit of research and I am

sure you will be able to find an excellent

supplier for Cheap Ink Cartridges for your print

needs.

This is a good explanation of the pricing strategy and market of replacement ink cartridges. Good points about harming the printer. I have had printers where I only used the standard OEM replacements and the printer became damaged or did not last very long. Whereas I have also used very very cheap remanufactured cartridges in printers that I have used very heavily for several years- with no damage at all. I also tend to go with higher end printers on sale rather than the very cheap ones that cost less than the ink. I buy nice printers and then look for the deals on high capacity inks.
