Cheapo air fare is in great demand these days, due to the rising costs of everything else we need to buy. So I want to share with you a way that you may be able to get cheapo air fare on your next travel booking. It just saved me $450.

I know gas prices may be falling for the moment, but how long will it take for that price decline to reflect on your next airline ticket? You really need to take matters into your own hands and do whatever you can to save a dollar.

Booking Online

If you book travel on a regular basis, you have realized that you will never get cheapo air fare by booking directly through the airlines. You need to do a little work yourself, checking prices online. And this will certainly pay off for you in the end. But that's not the secrect to cheapo air fare!

What's The Secret?

The next time you check prices to book your round trip flight, do what I did. I picked several of the best round trip rates I could find, and wrote down the flight numbers and prices (complete with tax and processing fees). I found the best round trip rate was going to cost me around $750. Now that was more than I was used to paying before the gas price hike.

Round Trip/One Way

So then I checked the box "one way", and started my online cheapo air fare search again. This time I found the same flight (same flight number) only going one way, for $150. I then did another one way search for my return flight with the same flight number I was using on my round trip flight. The cost for this ticket was $153.

Believe It!!

I couldn't believe it! By me booking two one way flights instead of one round trip flight, I saved nearly $450. This was flying on the very same airline, same day, on the very same flight numbers both ways!! I can't guarantee you are always going to have the same results as I did, but it is one more thing to try when looking for that cheapo air fare the next time you fly.
