Chest Piece on a Girl

Swallow tattoos are traditionally done on the chest and have some great significance.

I really think that chestpiece tattoos are great (on girls), i think they look great...the only thing is that almost every chest piece ive seen is incredibly corny... its always some stupid heart with wings or a skull with wings or a heart with a lockett...etc.

My friend is getting one with a lotus flower a heart in the middle of that and the OM symbol in the middle of the heart. It's something spiritual to her. Its nothing slutty, and she is most definitely not trying to attract some random dude as she has a boyfriend but he is all about her getting it too.

For me personally, I'm not fond of chest pieces on a woman. I have seen some really knock out gorgeous ones on a woman's chest though. I may not agree with where they have placed, but the artwork that goes into them is amazing. Arms, legs, back, hips..very cool. I just prefer a bare (no pun intended) chest on a woman.

chest pieces on females are in my opinion stupid. Shoulders and a little on the chest is one thing but a full chest tattoo is ridiculous. Definitely can't get a reputable job at most companies without having to wear full coverage shirts. And as females age, skinnier women will generally experience their chest caving in a little, which is gong to make a chest tattoo look really stupid.

To each is his own, but ugh I'm just not a fan of chest tattoos on women. Anywhere else please... Ha.

I grew up by the sea and have always loved anything to do with it, ships, sailors, lighthouses, pirates etc. I'm having a chest piece with a ship in the middle, and a pirate and sailor girl either side, with the words 'Anchor Fast Anchor'. It doesn't look tacky and I'm only little, so its not going to be huge either. 'Anchor Fast Anchor' is part of my family crest, our family motto if you like. As I am a woman and will change my name when I'm married, and have no brothers, it's my way of carrying on our family name. As for the job side of things, I work in a nursery so my chest is covered anyway and all my tattoos are hidden. It means a lot to me, and even if it does 'cave in' (I'm size 4, yes I'm tiny ha) or sag, I won't regret it because it means a lot to me :)

Chest pieces on women can look fantastic. I also think they somehow... leverage the power dynamic between men and women a bit more for the woman than our usual cultural gender dynamics allow.

In other words, they make women look and feel bad-ass. :)
