St.Anthony is known as Padua of the East. Chettikkad Saint Anthony Church is a famous pilgrim centre in Kerala where it is believed that Saint Antony appeared in real with Infant Jesus. And there is a well in this church where Saint Antony came and gave bath to Infant Jesus from the water of this well. This incident was seen to a Hindi Woman in her dream and she said it to the priest of this church and later many miracles started happening to people who used this water. This is now considered as a Holy Well and the water from this is used by pilgrims in the belief that it cures diseases. Healing power of Water from this well is very famous and There has been many miracles of Saint Antony in this church and now St.Antony's Shrine in Chettikkad is visited by thousands of people. Another important aspect that made this church famous is that, this is the only Indian church that has a small part of St.Antonys tongue as Holy Relic. Special Novenas are conducted every Tuesday. Offerings like Adima and Thulabharam are there in this church.

St. Antony is a saint who loved small children and so a beautiful park is also there along with this church and there has been many incidents of couples who were no having children getting children after praying to St.Anthony.
