Bupleurum - Essentially used by the Japanese, this herb is used to treat a variety of conditions such as mental disorders, ulcers, nephritis, withdrawal, menopause, arthritis, skin conditions, and liver disease. However, this herb is typically not used alone, instead it is included in some sort of formula and is available as a tablet, pill, or tea.
Ginseng - One of the most popular forms of Chinese Medicine, Ginseng is regarded as a life saver and preventer of diseases. It is used for many different things such as increasing wisdom, calming your spirit, balancing blood pressure, boosting the immune system, increasing the body's use of oxygen, eliminating fatigue, and controlling ones blood sugar levels.
As you can see, there are many different herbs used in traditional Chinese Medicine. Having been in use for thousands and thousands of years, it is believed that there are ways to treat all human ailments naturally, safely, and effectively. Though some side effects may occur, such as nervousness with Ginseng or headaches such as with Bupleurum, the side effects are not dangerous and do not carry the same sort of risks as traditional prescription medication.
