82Christmas is the biggest event in the Australian calendar, it is the beginning of summer month. It marks the end of the school examinations and the start of long summer holidays. it is always hot during the Christmas season, some people celebrate the day by going down to the beach for a swim and a barbecue with friends and family on Christmas day.
But majority of Australian still follows Northern Hemisphere tradtions - a family lunch, exchange of presents, Christmas cards showing Christmas trees half buried in snow, but recently I have noticed that there are a several Christmas cards now with Australian themes..
