American Grown Coffee Beans

Pick your coffee beans carefully
For the past few months I have been noticing that the premium coffee beans that are available in most stores are increasingly of lower and lower quality. I am not sure why this is happening, but it became evident that a search for a better source was in order.
I decided that one reason this could be happening is that beans are shipped from some far off places. They may be stored for some long periods of time before shipping. Aren't any coffee beans grown in America? Well they are, but the only state in the country that actually grows coffee beans is Hawaii. I thought I would give it a try and I am so pleased that I did.
I searched around the net and found several web sites that offer coffee beans. Some are small family farms and some are larger farms. I liked the idea of buying from a family run farm, so I ordered my coffee beans from a small farm in Hawaii.
The coffee beans they sell are slightly more expensive than I had been paying, but the more you order the less it costs. Shipping costs were actually quite reasonable. So off went my order.
It didn't take too long before that coffee was at my front door via UPS. When I answered the door, I knew right away what was in the box, and so did the UPS man. The aroma coming from the package was intoxicating. It has been quite some time since I have gotten a whiff of truly rich, fresh coffee beans.
The beans came in resealable plastic bags....very convernient. So into the coffee grinder went some of the beans. And then into the coffee maker. And then came the enjoyment of a robust cup of coffee. I purchased the dark roast, so there was a bite to it as well...just what I like.
I recomment to all coffee lovers to consider trying this. There are several sites, so I am sure you will find one that suits your needs.
Enjoy!!
