Bank currency & coin counters

at one time or the other most of us had some spare change,in a jar,in a bottle,or in a shoes box,and we also have the paper wrapper for pennies, nickles, dimes, and quarters

sometimes we change them at the grocery store, sometimes at the bank,i don't know about you but i would always try to go when they are not too busy i don't like too much people looking at me taking up too much time cause i always have more pennies than everything else,or maybe it is just me,well it is not just me.

when i met my girlfriend few years ago and she decide to come and live with me i was so excited,so i went to get her things before she had a chance to change her mind

anyway, she had a bag full of pennies i ask her if she want to go change them she said no she is going to throw them away.

i said no you don't have to wrap them in paper any more,so i interduced her to the coin star at pathmark she got $86.

the machine is easy to use but they charge you 8.9cents for each dollar in my state i don't know how much they charge in yours.

    it gets to the second

I think it's 7 1/2 cents on the dollar here, but I've heard you get full value if you agree to get the amount in a gift card. Haven't used one yet, even though I have probably about $30 worth of pennies alone at home.

i never check on the gift card idea, even if i am going to spend the money in the store i usually like to hold the cash in my hand for a few minutes, take care livelonger.

You can avoid the 8.9% fee on some machines by getting a gift certificate to Amazon, Circuit City, etc.

I'm glad you convinced your girlfriend to exchange her pennies. I can't tell you how many times bags and jars of coins have saved the day!

Most chain banks won't take change anymore unless it is wrapped. So, either you spend the time wrapping coins or pay the 8.9 cents. I agree to pay the fee every time!

I used a Coinstar machine within a local grocery store to redeem $175 worth of coins to a Amazon.com eCertificate. The gift code that was printed on the receipt did not work on Amazon.com. After numerous phone calls to both Coinstar and Amazon.com customer service, it was determined that the gift card code was printed correctly and valid, but expired due from long disuse in the machine. Unfortunately, neither company will claim responsibility for this problem. At the end of the day, I lost the entire $175 and not just the 8-9% I was initially prepared to give up. Next time I'm skipping the machine and sticking with a bank.

  • American Sugar

In the quest to make America less dependent on imported oil from the middle east there might be a sweet solution, Sugar Cane, Farmers have been planting Sugar Cane in Louisiana, Hawaii and Florida for many years,Sugar Cane has been used in the past just to sweeten other products, however it can also be used to make Ethanol,Since Beet and Corn are now more widely used as sweeteners,Corn and Beet production have gone up recently, while Sugar Cane production have gone down, one of the many reasons for this is the cost, another is the amount of states that can produce Sugar Cane about ... - 16 months ago

  • Supermarket Savings

Buying food at the supermarket is something that we all do,we all get hungry so eventually we have to eat, the cost of some food have gone up over fifty percent from previous months, and saving money has become a concern for all of us. I use to see people at the cashier with coupons for most of what they are buying, they take up more time than people without coupons, and I think that without my knowledge of the savings they were getting, and being in a rush all the time, I have being missing out on some great. - 17 months ago

  • Whirlpool Polara Refrigerated Range

This is a stove that has the capability to also be used as a refrigerator, this stove was introduced about 6 years ago. The idea behind this stove is that it gives the owner the options to take the chicken out of the refrigerator and place it into the oven where it can be kept cool for several hours. With the stove set to the cooling mode cooking can be set to start at a later time. - 2 years ago
