Eliminate Pounds Of Putrid Waste Using This Free Colon Cleanse Recipe

Let's face it, most people's diet is made up of less then healthy food. We are a part of a fast food society, and our colons are paying the price.

You should be getting at least 5 servings of fruits, vegetables, and grains in your diet every day. Most people are lucky to get one. Instead they're eating fats and carbs which create a thick, dense feces that is difficult for your body to pass through your system. As a result your colon could be lined with as much as 15 pounds or more of fecal plaque that can pollute your entire system.

Cleansing Your Colon, A Recipe For Better Health:

You have many options for getting rid of the waste built up in your colon. The easiest one is to add more fiber to your diet.

  • The best sources of fiber are fruits, grains, and vegetables, but you can also take a fiber supplement to help get things moving.

One thing to avoid is those colon cleansing kits you see sold on the Internet. It's not that they don't work it's just that they are overpriced. The main ingredient in most of these kits is psyllium husk, which is very high in fiber. You don't need to pay $50 for psyllium husk because you can pick it up for just a few dollar at most health food stores either in bulk or in capsules.

  • Another good source of fiber is flax seed. I like to buy whole flax seeds and grind them up in a coffee grinder and them to my oatmeal. Flax seeds are also a good source of omega3 oil which is good for your heart and skin.
  • Another more vigorous way to cleanse your colon is to use epsom salts.

If you are going to do this make sure the epsom salts you buy are okay to ingest because some are made just for external use. All you do is mix a teaspoon with of epsom salts with 20 ounces of water and drink it. Be warned you should not try this if you have an active day ahead of you because it will go to work fast and you'll want to be near a bathroom when it does.

For a serious colon cleansing there's nothing better then going on the master cleanse diet.

If you can make it through 10 days on the master cleanse you will not only cleanse your colon, but your entire body. It's common for people who go on the master cleanse to see more then 10 pounds of internal waste come out of their body. And as most people who use the master cleanse will tell you the waste that comes out is not normal. It's often a heavy black sludge, or a rubber like mucus.

Your colon is the waste disposal system for your entire body. If you allow waste to get backed up it can lead to major health problems so make sure to keep it healthy.

One last tip: Drink as much water as possible, even if you're not thirsty.

Keeping the colon clean is so important. Many people don't realize the health implications of a blocked colon.

i read that ingesting too much untoasted flaxseed can be detrimental to your health...something in flax seed is toxic in higher doses but toasting the seeds lessens the toxicity.

The Master Cleanse involves eating no solid food, but instead drinking a mixture of fresh lemon juice, Grade B/Medium maple syrup, water and Cayenne pepper. It is to be consumed at room temperature. The mix contains some essential vitamins and minerals. The master cleanse is not a "fast", proponents say it is more gentle on the body. It is a detoxification program that proponents recommended minimum of ten days, but it is not uncommon for people to stay on the cleanse for longer periods of time.[2]

Since there is no intake of solid food, special precautions are taken to avoid constipation. Laxative tea, which is optional, is taken every night, and in the morning a quick draught of 32 ounces of lukewarm sea salt water serve as a top-down enema. This passes through the digestive system extremely quickly, usually causing defecation in 30-60 minutes.[2] Many individuals don't require the laxative tea as long as the salt water has the desired effect.

The lack of solid foods for such long periods may require careful breaking, as gut flora need to re-develop and mucus linings re-build. This usually involves drinking "full strength" juices for a day or two, while slowly adding in soups, then fruit, vegetables and nuts before resuming a regular diet. Some practitioners add probiotics at this time to help re-establish a healthy intestinal culture. [3][2] Some individuals have returned to their healthy diet the following day after stopping the program without any problems.
