Online Dating Safety Tips: We're all adults here (or should be) so I'll be brief. Just like with offline dating, be selective with the person/people you ultimately decide to meet; meeting up in a public place with separate transportation initially until you feel totally comfortable is suggested. Either way you're gonna do what you want to do anyway but just be selective, sensible and careful. You can meet some quality people online, and we all know there's some crazies mixed in too.
Don't believe every profile you read: Some people have fake profiles on Completely Free Online Dating Sites. If someone's profile seems canned, and if they are persistent about getting you to communicate through your personal email (or instant messenger) too quick - instead of communicating with them through the dating site -- then they are probably just trying to pull an Internet scam or spam your email trying to sell you something. A good summary of free sites there. Of course one advantage of a paid site is that if people are having to shell out their own hard money there is more chance of them being serious about finding someone.
www.cupidmarket.com is pretty good, and completely free, though they're new so not many members yet.
