The Village

  • Toronto (and the whole Canada) is a very tolerant place and this area is one of the proofs. Nicknamed "Gaybourhood", this is one of the most popular places to live for gays. But trendy small restaurants and historical architecture make this are worth to visit for anyone.

South Etobicoke

  • Area full of highways, railways and industry - maybe not the best place to live on the first sight, but closer look will discover modern condo development, many parks and a great selection of entertainment options, services and businesses.

Yorkville

  • Best shops and restaurants can be found here. If this is not among your main interests, you may enjoy some 700 galleries in the area.

Yonge and Eglinton

  • Called also "Young and Eligible", this neighbourhood is popular for young professionals and families, who can choose from the variety of townhouses, semi- and high-density condo developments

St. Lawrence Market

Good list of available neighborhoods and their main characteristics. Most sites don't take the trouble to help newcomers orient themselves with their new city. Go Maple Leafs!
