Preparing asparagus is easy! you can just cut off the woody end of the asparagus. Then cut the  asparagus into smaller pieces and place them in a bowl. Boil the kettle and then pour the boiling water over the asparagus. Leave for 2 minutes until the asparagus is bright green. Then pour off the boiling water and plunge asparagus into chilled water.

Drain and serve seasoned with salt and pepper and a dash of olive oil. mmm delicious!
