Corner shelves can solve a wide variety of storage and display dilemmas. If you look around your home, you'll probably find that you're not even using most of your corners. And even if you are, you're probably not making the most of them. Most furniture and shelving isn't even designed to fit into these spaces so you should have no shortage of corners to put a corner shelf in.

Using any type of corner shelf allows you to not only salvage valuable untapped space, but can often make the whole room feel more spacious and airy.

When you break the "squareness" of a room, it adds interest and charm to your decor. Not only that, but in some cases, using this area in this way can allow a room to have more than one function. For instance, a corner shelf unit for children's toys can separate that part of your living room off for the kids while allowing you to reclaim the rest of it for toy-free relaxation.

Sometimes, instead of just filling in an otherwise unused part of your room it can become the focus of the room. A good example of this is when you install a corner TV shelf, and then position your furniture around it. And suddenly, you have a nice cozy viewing area that is designed in a unique way that most people aren't able to do.

My personal favorite type of corner shelf is the floating corner shelf. This is because floating corner shelves provide you with an attractive and functional way to display collections and curios. One of the best uses of a floating corner shelf is in a bathroom. This is because in bathrooms there are typically a lot of items such as toothpaste, hairspray, combs brushes curling irons and the list goes on. These things that are crucial to the functionality of a bathroom need to be within easy reach at whenever you need them. A floating corner shelf does just that. it allows you to keep important items within easy reach without cluttering up your counter top.

Even though corner shelves may at times provide you with less shelf space than a regular wall shelf, it is an excellent and striking way to add a highlight or focal point to just about any room. And are one of the most useful types of shelves out there.
