Why gorgeous girls aren't worth it

You can have all the 10's.  I don't want them.  In fact, take the 9's too.  An 8?  Maybe. 6's and 7's?...That's what I'm talking about!   Real women aren't perfect and thank God, cause neither am I.  The beautiful girls who may not measure up to societies unrealistic idea of physical appearance are where it's at.  Think about the women who appreciate a romantic gesture, not expect it.  The ones who might actually be able to make you laugh instead of making you look at your watch.  They're out there and plentiful, you just have to look past the looks.
I've been surrounded by shallow women since my freshman year at San Diego State.  Sure, they're fun for a while, but then your buzz wears off and all you want to do is gnaw off your arm to escape without waking them up(coyote arm).  "I don't care if Stacy bought the same Coach purse right after you did.  Besides, your dad paid for it."
  
My oldest brother, Mark, gave me some invaluable advice about dating a few years back.  "Cam, don't go for the super hot chicks.  They're too much.  All you want is a cute girl."  My first thought was "Yeah right!  I want the hot chick with the fake rack and no tan lines." Mark went on to explain three reasons for his theory:
REASON 1--No personality
Women who over identify with their looks have never had to develop a personality.  Life has been made too easy for them with little rejection and easy acceptance.  A dead giveaway is when you ask them what they're into.  "Um...I like to go shopping and lay out at the beach."  This girl is about as deep as a puddle.  The beauty of it is that she's being honest.  The beauty stops there.
For the same reason, shallow women have never had to develop a sense of humor.  "I don't get it...I don't wanna see a comedy.  Can't we just rent Pretty Woman."  You know the one...Broke prostitute blows a rich man and lives happily ever after off his wealth.  A truly nauseating tale.
REASON 2--Ungrateful
There's no pleasing a shallow woman.  You're never going to be able to make her happy when she's the root of her own misery.  "But Daddy, I want an Oompa Loompa now!"  Veruka Salt is all grown up now and you don't want to be the guy looking for her golden ticket.
REASON 3--Other men constantly pursue her
This is partly her fault.  She'll keep a running list of "guy friends,"  who are better looking than you are.  Luckily they don't have more money, otherwise she'd already be with them.  These women are always looking for the next big thing.  They'll drop you as soon as a bigger player gives them the old wink and smile.  When there is so much competition and attention directed toward a single girl their ego becomes overinflated.
IN CONCLUSION
 Don't ever envy a beautiful woman for beauty alone.  Her looks will fade and after her second divorce she'll look  in the mirror only to see the reflection has turned on her.  Save yourself the trouble and look for a mildly attractive mate with a good heart and a great personality.

Hey, I married a 10. A smart, grateful, beautiful women....I showed my wife this and she says - "Honey, but I married a 7." Hmmm.

We just passed the eight year mark and going strong. Each year gets better and better.

It's a numbers game!

Dating is a numbers game and your 10 is another man's 5. So keep asking 10's, 9's, 8's, 7's, 6's ...and someone will say yes.

Paul, I agree it is a numbers game, but come on...You know a 10 when you see one. Also, your rule number 4 has nothing to do with why the 10's aren't worth it. You're in left field man. They were't even rules...They were reasons. God damn. Aren't you my brother or something?

Cam, you take the 6's and 7's. As for me, bring on the 4's! I want a nice girl, maybe even with a severe learning disability, who will appreciate a chocolate bar when shes being good, not expect it.

Why not get some self-esteem and find the 10 that DOESN'T fit the mold? You're making generalizations and assuming they're scripture. There ARE super-hot girls who don't fit your mold. Of course, they're very tought to snag.

ok....i'm a pretty goodlooking girl. I'm up there....If i had a big chest I'd probably be a 10. I have the other stuff :), and I'm pretty with long thick dark hair. When I'm out, alot of guys approach me. However, I wasn't like that when i was younger. Alot of 10's were beautiful slim little girls. And they just always looked good. I was a little chubby with wild hair, but pretty. Anyway, when i hit 16. i learned how to do my hair, and dressed differently, and guys liked me. But, i don't have the personality of those other girls, I didn't start sexual stuff early, I'm very shy and quiet at first, and i can be funny (I have an older brother and grew up around him and his friends who are all hilarious.) Anyway, if you can find a hot girl that used to be a geek/nerd/awkward/chubby - THAT'S the real ticket. Look for the nice looking girl who you can see is obviously shy. Bonus: yes, guys will be after her, but she's probably too shy to talk back!

Hi, i used to be a 10 when i was younger, and when i met 'what i thought' was my Mr 10. But after all the abuse he's dished out on me over the years i think he's a -1. i still turn heads, so must be still right up there, but really - what girl wants a Mr 10 whose mean? I'd rather be a plain Jane who knows how to choose Mr right.

Would you really want to be a plain Jane? Come on, who are you kidding? If you were a plain Jane and still got dicked over by a dude, then what would you have? Don't beat yourself up about it though, you were young. I don't know what age that means, but to me, young is 16-29.
