How to detox an unhealthy meal
57I'm not perfect
I don't know about you but I'm not perfect.
I which I was, but I'm not. I eat healthy most of the time. Except for weekends, when I'm with friends or when I'm really hungry. Oh, and when I watch TV.
Bottom line is I'm a real person. Health is very important to me. I want to feel good and live long. But I want to have fun doing it.
The 80/20 rule
Here is my philosophy.
I believe in the 80 / 20 rule.
If you eat healthy 80 percent of the time you can eat unhealthy the other 20.
Our bodies have a fantastic way to cleanse, heal and rebuild. It can take care of some unhealthy food.
I even believe that the high demands we put on ourselves in one of the reasons that most diets fail.
The most important thing is not to forget to eat healthy most of the time.
Survival - The daily detox
It's important to give your body a chance to detox. There are 2 very simple ways to make sure you detox on a daily basis.
1. The first and most important thing is to drink enough water. How much you need depends on how much you exercise and in what climate you live. But you need roughly 8 glasses of water a day.
2. The other very effective way to do your daily detox to eat raw green vegetables each and every day. Chlorophyll is the substance that gives plants and vegetables the color green. It helps our body to cleanse through our blood, our stomachs, our intestines and our livers.

nice baby. wana go out
Dieting is such a pain when there are so many good things around for us to eat. I like your 80/20 rule and I should probably consider doing a detox from time to time, especially considering the amount of meat that I eat. I've heard that's really bad for you over time.
The 80/20 rule is an easy way to keep your body in good working order and also works with your taste buds. Most people can't stay good 100% of the time so it's good to allow some leeway.
I try to have oatmeal every day and since it has soluble and insoluble fiber, it also helps to detox daily in addition it's helps to lower cholesterol levels.
I don't feel so guilty anymore.
Great tips. I too love the 80/20 rule. If you eat perfect all the time then your body will go into shock if you cheat on that rare occasion as well. So I think everything in moderation is key.
The 80/20 has been around for along time and seems to apply to many things - must be something in it!
Awesome article. I can't stand unhealthy food, but I definitley agree with you that people can eat 80/20.

Good idea. I always hate that feeling of crappiness after eating fast food... even though it's so good :)
