Dealing With A C Section
67Dealing With a C section
I had a great pregnancy except for the hours a day throughout the whole pregnancy of morning sickness. No health problems the baby was doing good I was supposed to have a natural delivery in a small local hospital. My due date was march 19th I never even had contractions on that day and the baby had barely dropped so the doctors decided to do a ultrasound at a bigger hospital.
The tests came back fine and that my blood pressure was high but I was told I could still have a natural delivery. I was to wait a week and if I still hadn't any sign of labour they would start the inductions. Nothing happened so I started getting ready to go to the hospital everyday. All together I had 4 inductions 1 was the gel and the other 3 where the drip none worked, I just wanted to have my baby well finally the morning of march 31 I was in labour so I went back to the hospital.
Waited and waited what seemed like forever, I was dilating but at a really slow rate so they gave my the drip again which became very painful still after hours no progress so the doctor broke my water, to find out that the baby had a bowel movement inside of me already. So they put me back on the drip which stopped my contractions. The 3rd doctor that I had that day (they all went on holidays the same day)called the ambulance and trasnfered my to a bigger hospital for an emergency c-section.
When I got to the bigger hospital I was only 5 cm's this was 11 pm I was in labour at 6am that morning so I was very tired, and my contractions started again at full force. The doctor at the new hospital wanted to wait to see if I can have it naturally or not so they ordered me an epideral. Well I was born with a crooked back so the epideral did not work and i still was not progressing by 3:30 am I was still 5 cm's so they gave me the c-sections. The baby was stuck and that is why i was not progressing because my water was broke and they had kept giving me inductions my babies head was pushing dry against my pelvis causing permanent red marks on her head.
Other than that she was 100% healthy 8 pounds and 8 ounces. I had a really hard time recovering I bleed for 7 months and was diagnoised with bleeding disorder. This would have all been resolved if they would have just done an ultrasound that day, instead of me having to go through the 22 hours of hard labour and the c-section.

i would just shower for at least the first two weeks unless the pain is tolerable, then you can try the tub but have someone home just in case. do you still have the gauze patch over your wound? if so stick with showering if not then i would have a bath if you wanted one, i remember that i didnt wait forever for one because i hate showering.
