DELHI 6 had gave us a much more expectations and hopes. The movie is now in theatres. The film portrays the story of an NRI coming to India. The lead role Roshan is handled well by Abhishek Bachan except for his American accent.

The movie gave us big hopes because this was the one that presented by the Rang De Basanthi team. And through the trailers and excellent music by Rahman had taken us peak of expectations. But the movie does not meets the expectations. Of course the movie is not an utter crap, and it is worth watching, But it never meets our expectations that’s all.

The movie describes the story of Roshan (Abhishek) who is an American with Indian Origin. He comes to Delhi with his grand ma(Waheeda Rahman) to spend her last days there. Initially he is not able to adjust with Indian culture, food etc. He also couldn’t understand the intense relationships here. Then gradually he is adjusted with the customs and then he meets the girl Bittu (Sonam Kapoor), who is not a typical Indian girl. She wish to break the rules and has not much to do in the film except at the climax. But we have to say that the pretty girl had done her part beautifully and she is really mind blowing in ‘Masakkili’. The film shows some similarities with Swades, Which also portrays he story of an NRI coming to India. But Delhi 6 is an example for changing face of Bollywood.

No need to say about the soulful music by Indian Oscar hope Rahman. Masakkili is already a hit. The screen play is also beautiful that take you on a walk through Delhi.

Big B’s presence in the movie hasn’t evoked any reaction at all. We have to say tha t the Veteran Rishi Kapoor is not utilised in this film. Totally speaking the movie is not going to be a super duper hit. It’s watchable but still misses many ingradients and is never up to the expectations it reflected.

VERDICT: 2/5
