It doesn't happen very often, but when it's time to replace the car tires, I feel my wallet cringe a little. Why, because the last time I replaced my four car tires, it cost around $900 to do it. And that was 5 years ago. I can only imagine how much it's going to cost this time around. So, I did what any "smart" person would do - I went on the internet to look for discount tires and discount tire stores to get a good price.

I quickly found out that most of the online tire stores won't sell their tires directly to the customer from their website, but it's a good place to get comparison prices before heading down to the local tire store. Some of the tire stores in my area even claim to match the tire prices of other stores, so I'm definitely going to try and see if they'll match online prices the next time I need them replace. From there, read a couple tire reviews of your particular tire model and any reviews that people have posted about the store itself.

If you know exactly what type of tire and where to get it from, your search will be extremely quick. Just wait for the store to deliver it to the location you designated and your done.

You still have to determine whether you want to keep that particular brand or buy another brand. You may want tires that are better for your climate if you live in a place that snows a lot or track tires if you race your car during the weekends.

Each tire has its own price based on its features, so if you're short on cash, stick with the basic tire model. Once you've determined which tire you want, go online and find the best possible discounted tire price for it.
