Does computers emit radiation ?

  • the computer has got electrical circuits which creates electromagnetic field.
  • there is no scientific data linking EMF's to harmful biological effects to humans.
  • the level of electromagnetic radiations are generally very less than the house hold
  • appliances but the long term usage of the computer has a bearing in terms of cumulative effect.
  • the electronic circuitry and cathode ray tube create low dose radiation.
  • the monitor generates Static electricity
  • this can attract dust and more important harbour viruses.
  • these in turn may cause common cold, allergy and sinusitis.
  • maintaining humidity between 40% and 60% can minimize static electricity.
  • If humidity is low, a simple pan of water in the room can provide enough moisture
  • letters and graphics are created on the screen absorbs
  • and keeps electromagnetic field latent
  • only minimal amount will be detectable
  • low energy x-rays can not penetrate paper
  • UV and IR radiation are produced by the monitor but at low levels
  • if there is multiple units then may be it becomes significant

tips

  1. shut down WIFI whenever not necessary
  2. protect monitors with glass screens
  3. protect eyes with polarised glass
  4. have lots of open water in pans
  5. have inhouse plants which will be an index of radiation
  6. have open ventilation atleast for an hour in a day
  7. have a free space and cafetaria devoid of computers
  8. have an eco room-gadget free computer free in each office to create awareness about radiation

there is a beautiful world outside
there is a beautiful world outside
