Dog Obedience Training Tips Internet Courses Review!

Successful training for your dog: using the Positive Reinforcement Method:

It’s vastly approved among the major majority of dog training experts in their respected field. That the most effectively and humane way to train your dog is through a process called positive reinforcement training. This is a unique term for what is in a nutshell a very simple down to earth training theory: using these positive reinforcement training methods means rewarding your dogs positive behavior that you wish to see repeated, good boy or girl is positive reinforcement when it comes to dog training! And then ignoring the dogs behavior that is negative, a type of dog training that you don’t want to see repeated. This dog training method is in direct contrast to some of the now-outdated but once-very popular dog training techniques used in the past for dog training, some of which were generally doing more harm than good: using such primitive training techniques such as physical pain and intimidating the dog (for example hanging an aggressive dog up by his or her collar), or inhumane methods such as training therapy (for example using shock collars for barking).

Positive reinforcement methods work with your dog. his or her's natural canine instincts is to please you – her master! The general theory of positive reinforcement recognizes that lessons are much more beneficial for dogs, and tend to "stick" more, or have lasting power when a dog/canine is able to figure out what you're exactly asking for under his or her own capabilities (as opposed to, say, learning "down" by being forced repeatedly down into a submissive position, while the word "down" is repeated at general intervals). When you use positive reinforcement training methods, the results can be astounding with you're dog! Your essentially allowing him or her the time and the opportunity to use her own god given brain, to think for themselves. Some good ways for you to reinforce positively the dog training process:

- Use meaningful rewards. Such as their favorite dog treats, bones, peanut butter treats, their favorite dog toys, etc.... Dogs can get become bored pretty quickly with a quick pat or tap on the head and a “good boy or girl” response (and, in fact, most dogs don’t necessarily even like being patted on there head – next time you attempt to do this maneuver watch your dogs facial expressions and notice how most dogs will kneel down or shy away from you when a hand comes down towards their head). To keep the overall quality of your dog’s learning experience at a higher - funner standard, use tempting treats that reinforce good canine behavior in your pet. Tasty food treats and physical attention are what dog trainers in the business refer to as “primary incentives” – in other words, they’re both very good rewards that most dogs respond positively and very favorably to. - Use the right timing when training your dog. When your dog obeys a general command, you should let your dog know instantly that that is the command you wanted him or her to do, and your gonna reward your dog/canine for that positive behavior. When your dog/canine gets that tasty treat in his or her mouth, your dog will understand exactly what the exact behavior it was that earned him/her the tasty reward.
