Downloading mp3 music to your PSP is quite easy but you need some basic pc knowledge. Don't panic, if you can point and click a mouse, you should be able to do it in no time.

Step. 1. Get the mp3 Music for your PSP.

Youcan simply download it from your favorite psp music downloads site or you can rip existing CD's from your collection. Personally, I prefer to use a music download site because it's quicker. Remember the PSP plays songs that are in MP3 format. So if it's in a different format, you'll need to convert to mp3. There's lots of converters that you can use.

Step 2. Connect your PSP device to your pc or laptop

Plug your USB 2.0 cable into your computer and PSP. Then press the home button on the PSP and browse to the settings and from there find the USB connection. Your pc will recognise the USB and assign a new drive which you can browse to access files on your PSP.

Step 3. Copy music from your PC to the PSP

Open the PSP file system and create a new folder called PSP. Open the new folder and create another file inside called MUSIC. Now copy all the files from your PC to the music folder then press the O button on your PSP to disconnect it from your PC or Laptop.

Step 4. Now you can Play mp3 music on your PSP

Find the music folder on your PSP. You should be able to see all the music files that you copied there. Now just select and listen. Have fun and enjoy.
