E-cigarettes (sometimes called electric, or electronic cigarettes), are becoming more popular as smokers discover a safer way to get their nicotine! Since the recent FDA restrictions aimed at keeping kids from smoking cigarettes, electronic cigarettes got caught in all the hoopla, with lots of folks debating their advantages.

They say that there's no such thing as negative publicity and happily I agree, having spent a good part of my career in publicity and promotion. Public memory is also pretty short. I predict that all the confusion about the ingredients in a single brand of e-cigarette will be corrected, once fair testing is implemented and positive publicity reaches more and more people.

But all that aside, I submit that what this fledgling new industry needs is a greater public awareness of their merits.

For those of you who still don't know what an e-cigarette is, it's a personal vaporizor, where users inhale vaporized water and nicotine, (optional) from a little plastic filter. A battery heats up the liquid. Most products look like a normal cigarette, but there is no flame, smoke, ash or smell.

I am a big fan of electronic cigarettes (if you hadn’t figured that out yet); in fact, I admit to favoring one particular e-cigarette after testing out several brands.

Just for fun, a few of my friends came up with some belting new slogans for their product of choice. Most of these clever little catch phrases wouldn't get past the company CEO for obvious reasons, but in the interest of smokers and sufferers of second-hand tobacco smoke, (how that for alliteration?)...I humbly ask you to rate them. Yes, they’re aimed at promoting Green Smoke, an independently tested, high quality e-cigarette that has first class customer service – but they can certainly be adapted to your favorite brand, unless of course, Green Smoke decides to trademark their favorite!:)

So here's a shout out to all you advertising executive professionals and wannabe's alike. Pick a winner.
